I trust the brand so I went ahead and purchased this shoe glue for emergency shoe repair. I needed to apply rubber soles to my wooden stacked, hard-soled heels to muffle the clack so I wouldn't sound like a clydesdale galloping down the marble-tiled aisle in church. No matter how lightly I stepped, the clacking sound echoed obnoxiously off of hard surfaces. I had to do something STAT! I didn't want the "stick-on" soles because anything that says "stick-on", never does. So, I purchased a sheet of thick rubber sole and this loctite shoe glue, cut a perfect size of rubber for the heel and glued it as instructed. Then, I secured it it with masking tape and let it sit overnight. What I liked most about this product is that once the repair was made, it was forgotten. My shoes sound better and feel better, but the quality of the bond is worth every penny. This glue is durable, flexible, weather-proof, and easy to clean up while wet. If left to dry, however, it's a bit more difficult to neatly remove—that's a good thing, though. I want permanence. But the best part about this product is I don't sound like a horse in church, anymore.

This works well with a lot of rubber souls being torn apart from the main part of the hill and a tow. It's sort of like shoe glue. It's not as messy, but I think shoe glue works better. This is a little bit more pricier, but you get which you pay for.

Works very well it's clear on shoes

Wife gets a pair of 180 dollar boots. Sole separated from the leather within the first 6 months after barely wearing them. This product fixed them very well. Used a clamp as the glue takes a while to set. She's worn them quite a bit since the fix and they're holding up well through cold and wintry conditions. 

Loctite does it again!

If you need to repair or replace a heel on a shoe, pass on the superglue and get this product. It works so well and goes on very easily. I replaced the heel on my granddaughter's (Vivian) tap shoes and she's still tapping her way to victory in tap competitions!!!!

clean both sides  with alcohol then scuff with sandpaper both sides as well.let dry for a day .Smear shoe gue to both sides .Place bricks on shoes let set for a day or two.Last a good long time if u patient.

work well 6 months on

My husband needed glue to repair his work boots. So I researched and found this to be the recommended glue. My husband glued his boots and put rubber bands around the boot to hold it together, he waited 2 days to make sure they were dry and he hasn't had any problems with the sole coming loose.

Great glue for shoe sole repair

I use this twice. I had two pairs of shoes that the end of them was pulling apart, and I really didn't think it was going to help but it did it really worked very good. I would recommend this product to fix your shoes with my two pair of shoes I fix were tennis shoes. They were actually easy spirit, tennis shoes, and I haven't had them at least one pair of them that long and I was disappointed that that the end of them was pulling apart and I'm fixing to order another two pair of easy spirit I hope that doesn't happen to them too, but if it does, I have this glue that we put them back together again.

The sole of my husband's work boot was loose and he didn't want to buy a new pair.  We tried this on a whim, with little hopes that it would actually work and was pleasantly surprised that it's still holding.  I don't know how long it will last, but it definitely gave him several extra months.

It works better than we expected

So happy to have found this product. Saves me a lot of money not having to buy new shoes! Who can afford that? My shoes were in good condition but the thin rubber outer sole was coming loose in a couple of places. Very easy to use, package directions are simple. Just clean the areas that need glue, let dry, apply glue, wait 24 hours, good as new. Can be used on many types of footwear including kids shoes. Keep away from children though. Great product.

Save Money With Shoe Glue

I have a pair of hiking shoes that have started separating the midsole from the upper body, causing it to leak. I tried this shoe glue to fix it: got a nice bead all the way around and clamped it for 2 days. It did not hold, and the stuff didn't even stick to the leather or the midsole rubber. I just scraped it all off. So in my case, this stuff was a fail.
