Build Quality

I like cooking with this huge pan in the oven. The usual great Lodge quality. But I do wish it were a bit smaller. It's kind of heavy for this senior citizen

Lodge 17" cast iron skillet

The pan was well-seasoned to start-better than my smaller Lodge skillets. It was larger than I expected-probably a bit bigger than my standard size stove can handle so I turn on two burners to keep it more evenly heated. It would be amazing on a "chef size" cooktop. I love that there's no long handle so it fits easily in the oven.  Now I just need to get a bigger stove to match my pan! Great price in comparison to the Lodge website too.

well crafted cast iron pan

Miss big cast-iron skillet. I have it on top of my stove at all times. It's just the two of us at home that I love being able to cook large amounts of food in it with little effort.

I do alot of cooking, indoors and outdoors. And I often cook for alot of people. And I am a fan of cast iron for cooking. So this big, cast iron pan that can be used on the stove or on the grill or a campfire is perfect for me.

Just what I was looking for

Love the size of this frying pan! I can cook for a crowd without having to refill it. Cast iron is the best for distributing heat and nothing fries better! The price was also great!

The double handles make it easy to lift.

Wife can not use it because it is too heavy.  Other than that its great..........

My fish completely stuck to the pan and fell apart. It says its nonstick but it was not.
