Seasoning is simply oil baked into the iron, giving you a natural, easy-release finish that will improve with each use. Dishwashers, metal scouring pads, and harsh detergents can harm the finish. If this happens, you can revive your seasoning. Be sure to lift your pan when moving it on a glass top stove. Use any utensils you like, even metal. Heat and cool your pan gradually for added longevity. No microwave.

Walmart has a large "hard to find" selection of Lodge cast iron cookware on their website.  I only buy American made Lodge. 

 I wish the stores carried more than the basic items.  Be sure to check the camping area as well as the cookware area in the stores.

The only issue I had, was that there was a glitch in the email notification that the item was ready to pick up.  Thank goodness an employee called, since I had just assumed that delivery was taking longer than expected.

Like all Lodge products, this pan is well made, and well seasoned upon arrival.  I have already used it several times and it produces a lovely 'crust' on the outside of my breakfast cakes.  The key with all cast iron is to preheat it with the oven and then grease it just before adding the batter.  Of course, wiping it clean and keeping it dry between uses is also key!

Very heavy, but I knew that going in. Cornbread released,  no sticking, 1st batch. Perfect fit for my 2 cup batter recipe. I'm very pleased

I don't know how I lived without one all these years, may order 3 more so I can have 2 at home and 2 in the camper!

The first intention for this product was to make eggs like the one at McDonalds's :-) 
So far so good.

first experience with cast iron products

It's Lodge cast iron, of course its great!  Its big, heavy, the cups are deep enough to be usable and comes pre-seasoned, but I always scrub that off and re-season it myself. If you are into cast iron, yes, it is just what we expect from Lodge: solid, consistent and will be around for our great-grandkids to pass to their great-grandkids.
If you are not into cast iron, get a tin instead.  Iron takes a different approach.  If you are willing to learn, this is a good piece.

I bought it online and I am so happy with it. It is so easy and quick to use. I just mix up my biscuits and spoon into the individual cups. I am thinking of purchasing another one in case something happens to this one! I dont want to be without it!

I LOVE IT! I purchased this to bake mini pineapple upside down cakes and I am extremely pleased.

Great Pan

This is an amazing piece of Lodge Cast Iron Magic!!!  It makes the best biscuits as well as other things like little mini meatloaves and/or hambuger and/or sausage patties!!!  Oh yes, how about some cornbread muffins??!!  How about some mac & cheese cupcakes??  Maybe some eggs or mini omelettes??  Great pan, I LOVE Lodge Cast Iron!!!
