This dutch oven is large enough for a family meal. Comes seasoned but I seasoned it two times before cooking with it. No sticking and food comes out amazing. Well worth the money and will last forever with proper care. Easy to clean warm water and a wipe of canola oil and its readsy for the next meal

This cast iron pot is perfect for roasts, stews, and chili for my large family. Everyone needs cast iron!

Perfect pot!

Great product. So far have used it to make chili and cioppino. It came pre-seasoned and I have added a bit more oil after each use. Seems to be working well - that is, no rust. A key thing anyone considering this should be aware of is that like any cast iron cookware, it is heavy. Not too heavy to handle, but definitely no lightweight. A couple of particularly good features are that the handles are large enough to use with heavy oven mitts on, and the cover has several concentric circular ridges to create self basting action inside the oven.

If you know how to keep a cast iron cookware seasoned this pot will serve you well. And may be even works better than nonestick pen on higher temperature cooking. There will be no nonstick layer to pill off.

You can never go wrong with cast iron.    This Dutch Oven is almost a kitchen in its self.   You can bake, fry ,stew, etc in it and almost nothing hurts it

At this time I really can't rate this item since I bought it because it was on sale!
I'm going to be re-setting up my home in the next few months an at that point in time I'll try to write a review on the Lodge
Dutch Oven, however, I know I'm going to really like this since
my Daughter bought me a induction cooktop for Mother's Day
an I can't wait to use both items together! I know I'm going to
really enjoy cooking with having both kitchen must have's especially for me! I'll try to rate the Lodge Dutch Oven when
I actually use this cast iron must have at least for me! Thank

Lodge Dutch Oven

This is a 4 quart cast iron Dutch Oven (DO) made in the USA by Lodge.  It's factory seasoned and not enameled.  The size is between the other DO sizes of 3, 5 and 7 qts.  This is a modern design but the glass lids made by Lodge for their skillets and other DOs fit this one too.  It can go from the stove top or oven to the table and looks good too.

Lodge Pro Logic 4 qt Dutch Oven

This cast iron pan is well made and perfect for what I wanted it for.     The 5 qt. was a little heavy and this one is a little lighter (4qt), which is what I wanted.   It comes pre-seasoned and the one I received couldn't be better.   The lid is heavy and fits the pan perfect.   No chips and seasoned well.    Very happy with my purchase.   I really like the 4 qt. size.
