Keys

Price

It feels solid, and is very functional.  I give it high marks.  They keys have a precise feel.  It turns off automatically, and touching any key turns it back on.  They keys light up, with automatically adjusting intensity.  It is rechargable with the included USB cord. I also have a standard keyboard I use when sitting at they desk. I wish it had a scroll wheel, but I'm a perfectionist.  A good buy.

With all the kids coming home for the Covid-19 we too had to adjust many things in our lives as well. I had a computer that I had just started using as a Media computer.  It was attached to the newer TV in our main room.  I didn't want to be dragging cords all over and needed to have an all in 1 keyboard and trackpad.  It's like anything else; you wonder if the device will live up to it's hype.  This absolutely has.  It would be easy to say that the kids adapted quickly but my wife (who is only mildly techy) adapted pretty quick with it.  The few questions she had, were functions in a few apps.  Now she is a Zoom, Amazon, Youtube, Gmail (and yes) Walmart proficient user, from the comfort of the couch.  We hardly ever need to turn the backlight on, so the battery lasts a real long time.  I've had this about a month and a half and have no complaints.  The board/pad takes just a little bit of use to work some of the other buttons to memory.  As I have nothing negative to say about this,  I will say I have a suggestion.  I do find myself wishing there was a more ergonomic version in this pricing.  I would gladly buy that .  When you don't have a table you are working on, the flat layout , with wider shoulders,  feels just a bit confining.  Just my thoughts.  Otherwise; this is just a good solid buy.

Best unexpected upgrade in quite a while

This is one of the best wireless portable keyboard ever made. Million times better than the K400. Please bring the K830 keyboard back again. Why are u killing your quality products, after killing the Logitech Harmony Remote, now u r killing another quality keyboard the K830. The logitech i know was keen on quality, not cheap quality like K400

It's backlit. Has perfect functions keys. It's somewhat plastic and not the best key feel but it makes sense cause sometimes I jump on the sofa and fall on it. Only downside is the FN keys are backlit but you can not see the F1-12 really at all. Still a 5 star keyboard

Best sofa keyboard

Been testing keyboards for a while and this K830 is a very good htpc keyboard. The other options Logitech carries are not even close competition. 

Bring it back and have Logitech have a field day in sales here. 

Charge more for it too as much as it might cost to make a good profit selling it if the cost to make it was why it was discounted.

Needs to come back, take our money!

Someone please explain to me how this keyboard was discontinued, while simultaneously NOT making a new model with the same features? Backlit, rechargable, integrated touchpad. You have created a black market for this amazing keyboard where prices are 3-4x price. Please bring back the K830 or make a new model with the same features. -Thank you

The best keyboard I have ever owned.
After years of dropping it over and over, it finally stopped working, and I've wanted to buy a new one.... But they are so hard to find for a reasonable price! PLEASE sell these officially again! I would buy one for every member of my family. The k400 wireless keyboard isn't Nearly as good.

Fantastic, Let me buy another one

So far in the week that I've had this its be working good
Setup was easy and it hooked up right out of the box
There are a few things that could be better for me
It is somewhat pricey  
I'm not sure and i will have to verify this but i think there's no setting that lets me leave the light on full time 
When its dark and your typing if you pause for about 7 seconds the lights go off and you cannot see the keys unless you hit a button which then reilluminates the key board
The pad is a little awkward  to use when you scroll and click but after using it for awhile i'm getting more comfortable with it also not sure of battery life as i havent used it enough yet
It would also be nice to have a kick stand built into it for adjustability 
I do like the fact that you can have either bluetooth or use the unified receiver for older computers and the size is good for me its not to tiny but not as big as my older Logitech wireless keyboard  
So over all i would recommend this to purchase

Not to big not so mini its just right

I bought this because SONY said it was compatible with my 58-inch SONY  XBR55X900F  TV. It is compatible, but dont expect your TV to function as if it were a PC, with complete cursor and keyboard navigation at all times. Yes, when accessing the SONYs own internal settings via its remotes Action Menu, the keyboard and arrow keys let me navigate fairly freely through its menus ...but the arrow cursor selects nothing; it is useless. The keyboard DOES let me type in the names of connected devices and my wi-fi network name and password (an otherwise tedious task using the remotes virtual keyboard). But it is of little use negotiating the TVs apps.  Within the SONY settings, i did find a place where i could supposedly manage keyboards, but it did not give me a way to specify my Logitech keyboard as a default keyboard; it seems SONY does not really fully support the use of an external keyboard. Bummer! 

Meanwhile, i was very disappointed to find that if i press the XFINITY button on my Xfinity remote, the logitech keyboard is totally ignored...it cant be used to negotiate any of the Xfinity menus or settings; i am stuck with tediously using the Xfinity remote nav keys and virtual keyboard only.

Finally, it turned out i was mistaken to assume the logitech could connect either via USB or Bluetooth: the logitech has no bluetooth funcionality whatsoever...my bad!

Other than that, its a great keyboard, very stylish and cool.  One other thing: if used on a PC, you can download software from the Logitech website that adds more functions to the keyboard. But you cant download it to a smart TV because its not an App, and because smart TVs dont have browsers so theres no way to get to the Logitech URL.

This is the best keyboard I have ever had. Works great with AndroidTV, PC, Playstation and anything else usb. This is also the shortest lasting keyboard I have ever had. The charge port WILL crack off of the main circuit board in less than a year and render the device useless. I read all of the terrible reviews in advance and bought it anyway. The bad reviews about the charge port are all right. This device will be trash in no time even with the most careful charging. I could not have been more careful.
