So I just transitioned to natural for the second time. The first time I was not aware of this product so my natural curls were nonexistent hence I decided to start relaxing my hair again since I was not happy. However, everything I stopped at Wal-Mart last and bought this product along with others to try them. This product us AMAZING! Everyone at work is telling me how pretty it looks. I just wet my hair while taking a shower, and then applied this curl activator gel. Its been 5 hours since I did it and my hair still looks awesome. Shiny, moisturized and curly. Highly recommended! BTW - I think my hair type is 4A with a bit of a 3C mix. See pictures attached

Amazing Product for Natural Hair

I've worn natural hair styles for over 25 years and have tried many gels during that time. Some made my hair feel dry, and others flaked after drying. I like this gel because it feels creamy. After washing, conditioning, and detangling my hair, I apply this gel and a small bit of oil while styling. Since using this gel, I've gotten more compliments that my hair looks shiny and healthy.

I have used Long Aid for many years never been disappointed with this product.This product Long Aid keep your hair moisturized and shiny it also define your curls.Long Aid can be used on natural hair as well and you don't have to use a big amount just place the desire amount on to your hair and style as you desire.

My Favorite

This product ROCKS! I am African American with type 4 hair with low porosity. (For those concerned about that type of thing.) I used this product when I had a jheri curl years ago, and found it to be the best for "activating" my curls and moisturizing my hair. Well, now I'm natural and loose (I was locked for going on 6 years.) and I decided to give this product a try. At first I didn't think I could use it because I over did it with application and got super sticky hair, but I decided to give it another try after my experience with KeraCare (flaky, crunchy.), and with a little tweeking, it is PERFECT!!! You just have to be careful not to apply too much. Also you have to be sure to seal your hair before application, especially in low humidity to keep it from zapping moisture from your hair, as it is high in glycerine. I usually wet my hair and seal with coconut oil before application.

It works well with leave-ins and other products unlike Kinky Curly and some other products. You'll get no flakes because it's not that type of gel, but it really doesn't have a real "hold" factor. If you need hold, you'll have to layer some 'styling' gel under it or over it. Or just go for a 'styling' gel all together. This product also works for 4c hair that has no curl pattern as a super moisturizer. I'm not sure how it would work on hair looser than maybe a 3b, as it would likely be too heavy for your hair type, but at such a price (usually just around $6 for 32 oz) you can afford to experiment with it. LoL!
