BUY IT

I bought this setting spray to see just how well of a matte it sets as I very much prefer a matte look overall for my makeup. I have to say it does deliver, though I've sometimes noticed a powdery sort of residue after spraying. It's not enough of a problem to make me dislike the product, but it's made my makeup routine a little different. I set my face with this spray before I do my liner and mascara, and then I use a different setting spray to set those. I do love that the spray mechanism is able to produce a widespread fine mist, as it only takes 2-3 sprays to set my face and means the product will last me a long time. My skin feels soft and smooth all day, my makeup doesn't settle into lines or fine textures nearly as bad as some other matte sprays cause, it has a light and pleasant fragrance (reminds me of cucumber melon scents that were popular in the 90s), and it controls oils really well. On work days I'm out of the house for about 10 hours and I come home with my makeup still looking as fresh as I did when I left. I think the product is a good buy overall, bushy be aware you may have to take a big fluffy brush and sort of dust the powder away after it dries. I'm assuming it's part of the formula that makes it a matte spray, but there's no warning on the bottle or the listing, just something to know before buying. Overall I think it's worth the price and will last one person at least a few months depending on how often you wear makeup (I do usually 3-4 times a week).

Works well but leaves residue?

I love the dewy version of this setting spray, but the matte version is not it for me. It leaves little white dots all over my face, lashes and brows once it dries. They won't go away until I wash my makeup off. 

So I can't recommend this product. It does smell very good and price point is perfect. But the formula leaves a lot to be desired. Try the dewy version over this one.

Leaves its mark - in a bad way

this left a white powdery film that looked splotchy on my face and a powder residue on my clothes. thankfully it could be blended out but would not recommend wearing to work like i did
