I bought this power supply for a hot water heating system backup power supply.  I can also use it for emergency power in a safe room in my basement.  For short power outages this unit beats the gas generator for ease of use and portability.  Being quiet is also a plus.

Only tried it out a couple of times.  Got it for when we don't have electricity and I want to run stuff inside the house without firing up the generator, which almost happened the other night, but then the power came back on!  Does what it says it will so far!

Works as it should!

I have both Milwaukee carry on power supplies the MX and the M18.. I was using the MX for camping the thing that bugged me is that the cooling fans on the unit ran constantly. On the M18 it only runs as needed. I love it so far, it's much quieter without the cooling fans.

was hoping this would run my floor buffer. I have a sanding attachment for my floor buffer for sanding paint a scarifying surfaces before certain flooring installations but it couldn't run it. It tried but shut off because the buffer was demanding too much power. Bummer. It runs my jamb saw perfectly though and I'm sure I'll find other uses for it.

Good job site generator, quiet with plenty of power to run any tool. Using for camping to extend boondocking and charge boat batteries all with no noise or gas fumes.

misleading runtime chart is confirmed to be inaccurate by over promising. Facts: using four 6amp m18 batteries, running around 800watts will only last 24 minutes. 
Great for emergencies, camping, backup power supply, or just an excuse to use all the extra batteries.
also confirmed: will not charge/run simultaneously, will drain the batteries when 'on' running nothing in standby, very heavy  40lbs.
hypothetically, for the extra weight,  a six pack power supply would be more convenient %26 last longer.

if you have $4,500 just buy the new packout roll-on.

I have had the Carry-On for a few months now and overall the price point doesn't warrant a purchase. For my setup I got 4 12 amp batteries. The biggest problem with this is if one battery goes out it stops working. It also doesn't support pass thru charging and with no additional charging capabilities it really limits what you can do with this setup. For such a high price I would expect a lot more features, a solar charge port would be nice to go with this or really any other features. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product.

I'll preface this with saying that I have to have a defective unit. All I was running on this was 300w of LED lighting and 4 good 12.0 batteries were dead after 2-1/2 hours. I say that this is possibly defective because after 5 minutes all 3 batteries were at 3 bars, which doesn't seem right to me. I had high expectations and will write a new review if this is resolved in a way that proves me right about the one I have. Time will tell.

Defective or similar to other reviews?

I thought I could run a little mini fridge of this product but within 10 minutes it would kill one battery and drain the rest. I don't like how once one battery is dead it shuts off
