Office Use

Can be quiet and smooth, but also rattles or whistles loudly.

Ideal for smaller spaces, fitting snugly in rooms.

Was honestly worried $40 for a fan wouldn't be worth it but was needing something that would come that day and bought it anyway. Totally worth the price. But it's short. You'll need a table or something for sure to put it on. It is a bit noisy but hasn't kept me awake.

Worth the price

This is the best fan for cooling a mid size room. I've already purchased two and will definitely be purchasing another one. The different settings and the oscillating option provide a nice variety of cooling options. The fan is easy to assemble, clean, move and use. It's lightweight enough to move yet, very sturdy. Plus, you can't beat the value.

A must have fan!

walmart.com

Quiet fan for a reasonable price. Well made, relatively strong plastic. Note: rotation switch is completely independent of fan switch (unit will rotate with no air blowing if rotate button is pushed) This is not a problem for us and a small inconvenience given the low cost of this fan.

Quiet with good air flow

I bought this oscillating fan to help me sleep at night. I didn't want to go cheap but not expensive either. This turned out to better than I expected. I'll pleased with the quality. It has great air flow and I love that it came in white. I would definitely recommend.

10 out of 10

This fan really puts out the air. It makes the room a lot cooler combined with the air conditioner. I can run my air conditioner on a higher temperature and some days I just run the fan and its all I wanted it to be. It's tall so it doesn't take up a lot of floor space. I liked the first one so much I bought another one.

Everything I wanted in a fan

I bought 4 of these 28 in tall tower fans. They are excellent air movers and work perfectly when matched with a cold air source. My home has a/c but the air doesn't move well through the home so I added these to help push air around. Also, I turn off the a/c at night and these fans help with keeping things cool at a fraction of the a/c cost. You can buy better fans probably but not at this price. Great deal!

Awesome fans

It's a nice enough little fan, but as others have noted it runs at a very low speed when switched to Off IF you have the oscillation function turned on. In order to switch it completely off one must also turn off the oscillation switch. It doesn't say this in the instruction pamphlet so it seems like it must be a case of poor engineering, or maybe poor quality control if not all of them do this. I'd already pitched the box into the garbage can before discovering this so I'll keep the thing, but not happily.

An odd contraption.

It's not as good as the one I replaced with it. You have to be pretty close to it to feel any air movement. Even after turning off, it'll still oscillate. You have to make sure you stop it before you turn it off. Not worth the money, even on sale. Was easy to assemble so I gave it a 1 star.

What airflow?

These fans are obviously sitting in a warehouse full of mold somewhere. All of the boxes smelled like mold. I ordered three of these fans and was able to salvage two of them after throwing the boxes away and airing them out. Unfortunately, one of the fans smelled my whole house up like mold and I could not save it or return it because I had thrown away the box.

Smells Like MOLD!!!!

This fan is very noisy. Each time there is a different grinding sound and it's very distracting. I use a fan at night for white noise, but this one is hardly relaxing. Also, I have to turn off the oscillator, even though the fan is off. Otherwise the fan keeps moving. After reading all the positive reviews, I was very, very disappointed with this fan.

Noisy

Mainstays 28" Tower Fan front-facing, tall slim oscillating tower with vertical grille and top-mounted control panel, three adjustable speeds (Low, Medium, High) plus static mode for directed airflow; quiet operation for bedrooms or offices, often used to provide ambient white-noise.
