Instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MEGA Hot Wheels Bigfoot was a hit in my home. My son loved it. I thought it was great that the kit included a small, official Hot Wheels, version of the truck. It allowed my son to play with it while we completed the Mega block kit to create the GIANT Bigfoot truck. I'm not going to lie, when opening the kit everything seemed a bit daunting. There where A LOT of pieces and the instruction manual is 90+ pages long! However, I quickly realized that the kit was organized in a way that made it easy to complete the build using number bags of parts that corresponded to the instructions. The instructions were AWESOME! Very clear and not confusing at all. In total, the build took about 3 hours over two evenings to complete (1.5 hours each evening) The finished product is impressive! The truck is LARGE and heavy and is constructed in a way that make it really solid! The tailgate opens and the hood does too. There is even an engine inside! The suspension also articulates thanks to thick rubber bands & real suspension architecture that is installed & built during construction. I highly recommend this toy!

Very Impressive MEGA Kit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hot Wheels Bigfoot Monster Truck my kids enjoyed it. The truck you have to assemble and has 538 parts. The directions are pretty easy to follow . The Bigfoot Wheels are huge and my kids love running things over. My kids liked that a Die-cast was included.

The Bigfoot Monster Truck was fun for my kids.

relaxing build, but I did find one thing that bothered me. With the way the suspension is designed, the tension of the O-Rings can actually pull the undercarriage away from the rest of the kit. I'm hoping that as the O-Rings stretch out a bit this tension will relax and I won't have to press the kit back together at times.

Fun build, almost perfect...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was so much better than I ever expected. My 7 year old son absolutely loved this. He opened it immediately and jumped right in. He was able to compete almost the entire instructions with little to no help. He loved the regular size Monster Truck that came with the buildable one. We will definitely be adding the others to our Christmas shopping

Great fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 8-year-old son has enjoyed building this set. It is for 10+ years but he has been able to assemble it by himself. However, it has taken him several days of sessions building it. He is happy the decals came already on the truck body. He LOVES the huge rubber realistic wheels! The instruction booklet is huge and easy to see the diagrams. He loves that it comes with a smaller diecast Hot Wheels model truck as well! Both can be played with together after the big truck is assembled. We love the details in the booklet about the original Big Foot real truck and the real original driver.

Awesome Big Foot Building Set and Diecast Model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kept my kids busy for a very long time. The mini truck was out and crashing around the house day one. Then they spent the next few days slowly building the big truck. We have had some trouble with the suspension staying attacked but it doesn't slow them down.

Entertaining

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The box states age 10 plus but my 8 yo built most of it with some help from me. Some of the pieces were a bit harder to put together than other popular brands. We really liked the tool provided to get pieces apart. I thought getting the two main truck pieces was a bit tricky but we managed together. Overall my daughter enjoyed building this truck and likes to play with it even more.

Fun build and fun to play with

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to say my son and I loved putting this truck together. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. There were times when pieces were hard to put together, but eventually they fit. It took a day and half to finish. It is a really cool truck with moving parts like the back door opening, the engine opening up, and the wheels moving. I was surprised at how heavy it was, it makes it feel solid. All and all, awesome time to spend with my son, and we absolutely loved the finished product. The extra smaller version of the truck was a nice addition.

Mattel Consumer Services

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The MEGA Hot Wheels Bigfoot is a really awesome looking truck once you put it together. Unfortunately that is where the good stops. I don't know if the wheels and tires are too big and heavy, but it WILL NOT stay together. The "frame" keeps separating from the body of the truck. Which is why we have no pics of it together. It literally fell to pieces. I did the assembly, so I know all pieces were snapped firmly together. It's a great looking truck, but the craftsmanship leaves a lot to be desired. We are thinking about trying to glue it if we reassemble it!

Great look

We got this for my autistic son who has a special interested in monster trucks, specifically Bigfoot. He loves little diecast models and hotwheels so i figured this would be perfect and something we could enjoy doing together. Boy was I wrong....
The build itself went okay and the instructions were fairly easy to follow but the quality of the blocks in the kit were garbage. We had a really hard time getting some blocks to fit as they were warped/dimensions were not consistent or accurate. Some of the long pieces used to bridge the front and back/chassis plate are visibly warped and as a result the truck doesn't stay together when fully built. The pressure put on from the suspension rubber bands pulls everything out of place and causes the wheels/'drivetrain' to come apart when it's just sitting on a table. You can't even push down on the truck lightly to see the suspension at work because the plates all just separate from the tension caused by the bands on a major mounting point. My son really wanted to have this on display but it just keeps falling apart sitting on a shelf and it's incredibly upsetting for him. We are super disappointed in this kit and I likely won't be purchasing another from MEGA again. If someone sees this and wants to make it right and send us a revised kit I'd happily change the review but until then I would caution anyone to steer clear of this kit.

Would be a cool kit if it stayed together..
