[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved this! He is a huge Pokémon fan so he was super excited to build it. He is 12 and it was a bit difficult for him to complete by himself. The instruction book is huge so I stepped in to help. We had a great time building it together. Instructions were easy to follow and the numbered bags organized the build very well. We did have some difficulty getting the pieces to snap together. Some were so tight that if the top piece snapping onto the bottom one was sideways at all they wouldn't go together. You would have to straighten them out first. Taking them apart was equally as difficult. If you put the piece in the wrong spot it was hard to get them apart. That being said, it doesn't break very easily once it's together, so that's a plus. In the end the result was awesome! It is such a cool piece! My son doesn't normally keep these put together. He usually tears them apart pretty quickly but this one he has kept together to display.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All I can say is WOW! The quality of this set is amazing! Each piece is made well and are durable too! This set is HUGE though so make sure you set some time to the side to get it done! There are 742 steps to complete it! It took me a couple of days to get it done once I started it. My son loved helping me put it together!

I love that this set actually looks like the Pokemon it is supposed to look like! The colors are all perfect! The details are amazing too! A lot of thought went into making this set! I love that it moves too! It is so cool and my kids are amazed by it!

I will say that this set is actually tough to put together. It may be rated as 12 and older but it is very hard even for a 12 year old! I had a hard time getting it put together. It takes a lot of patience but is worth it once it is done! I really do recommend this set to everyone! It is hard work to get it together but is a ton of fun working on it! Give it a try, I am sure you will have fun too!

Great set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grandsons love Pokémon. When I gave them this toy to build, they were so excited. Their family is in the process of moving to a new house, so they were not able to finish the toy yet. What they have finished is so durable and this toy  has great directions for them to follow to build. We cannot wait to see the finished product. I would recommend the Mega blocks.

Fantastic Pokémon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving the item we were extremely excited to get started on this massive build. The box quality and packaging is really done well.  The manual was bigger then I expected and I liked the way that a lot of numbered bags were used to keep the piles of parts smaller for each section of the products booklet.  Once I started opening the bags it was really exciting  to see how it would turn out, with a variety of building  techniques and degrees of difficulty it kept the experience interesting. With no way to build it in one sitting it made for a great way to keep me  busy for hours a day for a week!  Some of the build was a bit on the advanced side which is good to keep them challenged. Some of the instructions were difficult to see where the piece belonged or if it was a moving part it had to be placed just right to allow it too work smoothly.  Once the build was finished it looked and worked great. The colors are great, and  the display factor compared to other builds makes it more appealing to look at.  We love the subject matter of this build and like to spin the handle to make it move. The movement brings such life to this toy and a whole different level to building toys, which I hope to see more of. It sits on our table for anyone who stops over to give it a try, and it looks great in all settings, either in our building block display case or even on the coffee table.  We can easily move it out of the way to use the table.  It would  be amazing to see a whole collection of this product all together on one display.

Pokémon moving build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and are still in the process of building this product. The directions are a little confusing.  We have a ways to go. Definitely good quality product but the directions should be more clear. As we continue to build it looks nice and we are happy with the result we are getting but definitely takes time to build

Good quality but need clearer directions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before receiving this set, we weren't aware of how massive it was. It was moderately challenging and at well over 2000 pieces it took as a couple days to fully assemble. As we neared the end we noticed that the gears responsible for moving the front half weren't aligned correctly so we did a bit of backtracking to correct it. Overall it was a fun build and the scale of final product is very impressive.

Pokémon Go!

Purchased this for my son who's a Pokémon fanatic. He got to the point of attaching the front and back together and we tried the gears to make sure it worked. At a certain point the crank had resistance and a gear popped out. Figuring he may not have assembled something correctly, I undid the pieces and rebuilt it myself. When we got to the same point of assembling the head with the body, the exact same thing happened. After many days and hours wasted, it's not complete and we are discouraged. This toy set us back quite a bit.
