I am a beginner at rowing, but I like this machine. It is very quiet, and the seat is comfortable.  It satisfies my requirements. It is also fairly lightweight, and easy to move. It is a great value for the money. I don't know how useful the Merach app will be with this machine however, so if you want an interactive experience, you might need a higher level machine.

Assembled easy .appears well made .priced decent .drum is smaller than picture but that doesn't matter . im pleased with the product .im 5 '10" it would handle a  basket ball player . i like and always buy magnetic resistant machines....rower/bikes  .friction ones get hot and just aren't good for serious users.  This passes and i recomend  specially if your on a budget .

Bang for your Buck

I am so glad I decided to order this rowing machine. The online reviews are great. Being a big guy of 6'2'' and 250lbs I was unsure on how this would be but this is perfect. The rowing machine is very silent. The 16 levels of resistance does the job. It is a great addition to my home gym. Given the fact that I could enjoy a nice deal on the price even versus other online retailer, I am more than satisfied with this purchase.

What a deal!

Good packaging. Quite easy to remove and lay out parts. Instructions were also very good. I'm a 71 year old man and I was able to assemble it by myself in about an hour. So far the machine works great. Has a nice fluid motion and is very quiet. Happy camper here.

Solid build quality, simple assembly with clear instructions, very smooth rowing action and good tension adjustability. Comfortable seat and smooth roller track.  Can store upright and moves easily. Better than expected rowing workout machine.  We're happy with purchase and would recommend to anyone looking to get into rowing for cardio / weight loss etc.

All parts present and well packaged. Assembly was smooth following instruction video. MERACH App connected to the rowing machine in a few seconds. Vertical storage is very convenient. First experience is good for a beginner. Overall happy with the purchase of MERACH Q1S - setup and pricing.

Good beginner rowing machine-easy setup and use

I only have two small issues, one the foot holder's swivel and make it difficult to strap in, two the read out screen is outdated,  plus side nice and smooth machine, super comfortable seat, free work out app program with zero subscription required. A 9 out of 10 and priced on budget.

This is the first rower I've ever used and I love it. They always looked fun and I don't have access to one to try so I decided to take a chance. I can't really compare quality but it's the most fun workout I've found. I don't really enjoy exercise and don't motivate myself well. The app makes it so easy though and it's free.

I have used this rower four times and each time after about 20 minutes of rowing on level 12 or above, there is a very strong burning smell coming from the front, resistance mechanism. 
Initially, I thought that the smell would dissipate, but it's actually getting stronger to the point that I have to open a window. 
I no longer feel like this rower is safe to use as it may pose a risk of fire and it's a huge bummer because I was quite excited about it initially. 
Will return and look for another option/brand.

Its not safe to use. I'm 5'9 180lb and this feels short in length, light weight for workouts, short in height, unstable for working out. 
I used it only once and I felt very unsafe using this product. The images show it a big bit its a small/petite model.
