[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High rating only because I know what I was getting into. The negative reviews are true: half the surprises/advent days are the empty box for the mini dolls. Especially if you paid the original 60 bucks, this would probably seem a rip-off to the unknowing adults and- even worse- the kids opening these who'd feel cheated. It is a terrible advent calendar for that. However, as a collector's item, it's getting very specific dolls and a few mini cosmetics for a decent price that just-so-happened to be wrapped in advent calendar packaging. And yes, the boxes are art in their own right as the dolls that come matched with it, but no kid who just wants a mini doll wants a clear box as their surprise. I was the best-case scenario: I knew of these ups and downs before purchase, and the item was on super-sale for $17. A steal for me because I got about 10 dolls with their boxes and 4 cosmetics (if I counted correctly), including the exclusive Trinity who was the main motivation for me. In a hypothetical situation if one tried pursuing these specific minis through blind bags, and never got duplicates, it would normally cost $70 in the format of $10 blind box. If you're looking for the Trinity doll and the other specific minis from series one, this may be right for you. Youtube unboxing reviews showed me the consistent specifics it comes with, so I knew what dolls I was getting. (The only thing that seems intentionally random with each calendar is which item is in which day/slot.) I personally didn't get it for the mini cosmetics, as cute as they are, and have no urge to use the makeup on myself, especially due to some reviews mentioning the makeup got old/dried out etc., so instead they'll do just fine chillin' with the dolls they're sized for.
Quality of the dolls is as good as the blind ones. I got exactly what I wanted from this without error for a dirt-cheap price. I would give five stars for that out of accuracy for my personal review... but that lost star is a salute to those whom unknowingly ventured into half-empty disappointment and paid the $60 price for it.

Empty boxes terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's nice because you do get some good bratz minis and other cute mini items, but each time you get a doll, the next day the “surprise” is that dolls empty box. We're opening this leading up to Christmas so some days my daughter just gets an empty bratz mini box to put the mini doll she got the previous day in.

Product not great,  acceptable on sale

I bought this thinking there'd be 25 different items in it, considering the box says 25 mini surprises. Upon opening it, the dolls were wrapped separately from their boxes, so most of the mystery items, were just empty boxes I have to put the dolls inside of myself. This was very disappointing. It is also tediously annoying work trying to get the tiny pieces of tape off their boxes and putting them in without ripping or breaking the box. And then the box doesn't even stay closed anymore because the tape is gone now. I love the idea, but I will never buy one again.

Good idea, terribly made

Waste of money

The dolls were cute but half the stuff in here is empty boxes. And most of the dolls you could get from the individual mystery boxes. Even on Christmas and Christmas eve it was an empty box and no dolls. And you know what you're getting each day because it goes doll- box- doll- box.

The figures are seprate from the figures which means there's twelve days that you're just getting empty boxes. Not worth the price at all. It's a let down.
