This item shows wire but does not come with item, you have to soder the wires yourself.

Easy to connect and easy to wire it if you know the direction. Two draw backs are:
1. Not water proof
2. If you connect it wrong direction, then there is no way you could redo it. In fact, i have to buy a new one to redo connections

This item is patently misrepresented by Minn Kota.  In the photo, supplied by Minn Kota not Walmart, you will note that wires are installed.  So if you are expecting a trolling motor plug with wires, forget it they are not included much less installed.  Not only no wires but the plug I received did not latch, which would obviously not work with a trolling motor very long. I suggest that either a new photo without wires be used in marketing this item or a disclosure that the item shown in the photo does not come with installed wiring as depicted in the photo.
