I received a Miyabi Birchwood knife set as a birthday gift, and it has quickly become one of my favorite tools in the kitchen. The craftsmanship is exceptional, from the beautiful birchwood handles to the flawless fit and finish throughout the set. What stands out most is the balance—each knife feels comfortable, precise, and effortless to use. I primarily prepare vegetables and fish, and the razor-sharp edge and excellent control make those tasks a pleasure. Love them!

My husband got these for me as a surprise and I could not be more happy with them. 
I had bought 1 single Miyabi knife in the past so I already knew they were fantastic. 
But the birch handles are definitely more comfortable than my original knife. 
It almost feels like velvet in the hand to me. So easy to cut. We did not think the bread knife would be useful to us but my husband loves it. It does not squish the bread even a little.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well overall product is great. I love the weight in the handle and the roundness of it. Definitely some great aesthetic with the shuttle red strip and the burl of the birch wood. My only concern would be the birch wood moisture absorption from cleaning over time. A good linseed oil or some mineral spirits wild help the longevity of the handle. I hope not to ever buy another knife set.

Beautiful look but losing the finish on the handles already after barely a handful of uses. Not what I would expect from a 2000 dollar set

7 piece knife set

The handles were unfinished and rough wood (separate knives we ordered from this same set were a finished handle as were the ones we got years ago).  Several knives were also bent.  Would NOT buy these again, quality has tanked.
