Olfactory Memory

If memory serves me right, the original product was called Monsieur Houbigant. It has been several decades since I last purchased and seen it anywhere for sale.  I loved the scent then and made sure I always had an extra bottle or two.  I jumped at the chance of purchasing this product after seeing it available under a new name (Dana). Unsure if the scent is the same or similar to the original after so long; there is no sense of deja vu. Maybe it will come back to me. All in all, I like the scent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cologne used to be i a black bottle and had the most sensual smell. Everything has changed since the new bottle.

I have used Monsieur Musak cologne-not toilet water-for 3 decades when it was black bottled by Houbigant.  The Houbigant scent was excellent and lasted all day. Unfortunately Dana has not lived up to the Houbigant reputation.  What I did not like was that I ordered the Cologne as advertised on the bottle in the online ad, and received Eau de Touilette, which is cheaper watered down version of Monsieur Musk that barely smells and lasts.  I returned the unopened bottle to Walmart the next day, and I am in the process of getting my refund.  Careful when ordering the cologne because the vendor will send you the Eau d' Toilette.
