After searching several sites for pencil grips, I was very pleased to find Walmart's substantially cheaper for a product that was of equal quality. As a retired kindergarten teacher who now volunteers, I find the pencil grips are one of the most effective ways to help beginning writers.

I'm in the middle of my Reading & Language Arts Internship at Fort Hays State University. This Stetro Pencil Grip basically taught me how to correctly hold a pencil & write. No more strain on my forearm & my handwriting is much more uniform!
During handwriting lessons for PreK - 1st graders, this tool is a MUST! Teachers also need this tool, so when they write, they are setting a proper example for their students!

These aren't just pencil grips, they are awesome handwriting helpers. They help my son hold his pencil correctly, which has dramatically improved his handwriting. They are worth every penny.

Thsee have helped my son tremendously with his pencil grip, and me, too!  He's always struggled to figure out how to hold a  pencil, but within weeks of using these at home and school, he can pick up a pencil without a grip and hold it right!  My muscle memory is improving, too.  I have been recommending these to friends (and will share some, since this is a huge pack).

worth every cent

My 5th grader holds her pencil wrong... so long now that it's too hard for her to break the habit on her own.  I purchased these hoping it would be easy for her to hold her fingers right and they look like fun grips... not learning tools.  Super easy to hold your finger correctly with them.  It comes with directions and the grips have an arrow on them so you know up from down.  Her hands are the size of a 3rd grader (tiny!) and I'm an average adult woman and they work for both of us.  They slide up on the pencil and stay and slide off easily.  She thought it would be an issue, but she doesn't even think about it... just puts her fingers on the grip correctly each time.  I hope she will break the habit by the end of the year and not need the grips anymore.  Only thing I was not so happy about... my pack had 32, not 36.  But, it works too well for me to take a star off.

Works for my 5th grader

We lived abroad and got something similar while our kids were in school.  After two years, that pencil grip finally bit the dust.  I searched high and low for a replacement and stumbled on this product.  It is American made, quality, fits the pencil perfectly, and, best of all, dried the tears of my 4th grader that loved her old one!  :-)
