This item should work for using for a usb connection to a printer.  I however bought this to see if it would connect with a usb wifi adapter for usb printing over wifi but it didn't activate the wifi adapter.  Still trying though.

It's still sitting in a Dallas post office.  I'm sure this basic USB adapter will surpass my wildest expectations if it ever arrives.
