I've been using Madame Rochas since the first time I went to France in 1959...not long after Rochas had introduced it.   It's a lovely floral, powdery, and very feminine scent that lasts for hours.

SOFT %26 AMAZING MADAME ROCHAS

This is my signature perfume and very difficult to get.  This was an excellent buy.

Years ago my cousin brought me a gift of perfume I cherished from the Madame Rochas collection, it was a wonderful product. I thought this would be a great gift this year for my Mother, since the company continues to claim they are French I felt confident with my purchase. 
We were minutes from sitting down for our Christmas Eve meal when my mother opened her gift and misted her wrist, within seconds the entire condo filled with a malodorous smell; instantly I thought Rochas must have sold out to a foreign enemy who changed this cologne into a type of weapon. We quickly opened two doors for fresh air and my mother rushed to the bathroom and tried to wash this off her wrist, unable to remove the smell we turned to rubbing vegetable oil into the skin and another washing, nothing... at this point we were desperate, I took her to the kitchen sink and used the sponge to scrub her wrist with dish soap, still this ghastly smell wafted during the entire meal, gently reminding us how an enemy can infiltrate our country from within. I'm almost sure this is what happened!  
So be on the look out, be careful, do not purchase this perfume, this is not Madame Rochas.
