My girls have been making these non stock for a week! Of course the beads that come with it prob last through one of each design I ended up getting a whole bunch more so they could make as many as they wanted in different colors. I like the little tray/holder thing but we found putting the pattern next to it instead of inside it was better.

This pet bead kit is a very good hands on activity for kids. The instructions could be a little more descriptive but all in all the end results are very cute. Some of them are food oriented instead of pets. I recommend this activity in place of electronic devices for all kids to promote handmade accomplishments. Enables kids to make gifts to give to others.

Very cute activity

My grand daughters love this. Neither have put it down since they recieved. Both made me a nice keychains. Well worth the purchase for artistic minds. It comes with instructions and some ideas for creativity. An activity even I can participate in. As a gift you can't go wrong with little minds.

As great as you would think. It kept my 8 year old son busy for hours. It comes with only a starter amount of beads but buying more beads is easy and available in our local Walmart store and they were cheap.  You can find hundreds of patterns online that can be printed for free. This is great for evenings or rainy days.

Fun creative and keeps the kids occupied!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited for this Horizon Group Made by Me Bead Pets & Keychain Kit. Talk about a throwback to my school days. I used to make these all the time when I was a kid and would carry them around and have them on my backpack. I still have a few. My kids wanted to make some and this is a perfect starter kit. It comes with string, clasps, key rings, lots of beads in different colors like orange, yellow, green and black and more. Plus it comes with a little plastic case to carry the stuff in. We had so much fun going through it. The best part is it has little diagrams to show you how to string the beads and make the different animals which is very helpful as I couldn't remember how to make them since it has been so long. My girls 4 and 8 years, had a blast but I had to help them a bit. Now they just want to make more and we still have some left to make. It makes up to 10 sets. Which is pretty nice. Definitely a lot of fun. 
I did get to try this for free through the Spark review program but the opinions here are my own experiences.

Love these! Used to make when I was kid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kit kept my son and his friend busy and quiet for hours when the couldn't go outside and play because it was too cold and wet. They were bored watching tv so I gave them this to entertain them and they had so much fun. Each animal had instructions with numbers to indicate which color bead to use. Some were difficult for them to follow but once they got one done it was much easier to do though.

Perfect for cold rainy days!

Don't waste your money.  It was fun making them but The end result is not sturdy.   They fall apart and the beads go everywhere 
There are much better crafts out there.

Don't buy

Okay wow. My daughter is pretty advanced with crafts and fine motor projects and so am I and this was ridiculously harder than I thought it should be. We could never get it tight enough to actually look right while hanging. I made the frog which looks ok. We tried with the fox and it's awful. Again, looks great lying flat but very disappointing. This didn't make for a quiet pleasurable experience in my house but frustration and disappointment and some tears :(

NOT easy

The instructions are unclear, the QR code didn't work, the threads frayed immediately after cutting which made the beads very hard to thread, and when I finally got the beadwork done and tied off, it just turned into bead goo when I picked it up. Terrible design.

My box is completely smashed. I have never been so unhappy with a delivery until today.
