I love it. Despite the reviews, I ordered this unit. You must follow the enclosed instructions to a tee.  After taking it out of the box, I cleaned it and let it sit over two hours. I filled it up with regular tap water and it has been working fine. 

The ice will melt and it will go through the cycle to reform into ice again.  I suggest bagging it into the little snack or sandwich Ziploc bags b/c it will stick together.

Best Choice You Could Make

The ice maker in my freezer stopped working. Instead of paying $100+ for a service call and addional money for parts I bought this. It works great and makes ice.

It's ok I would recommend getting a better one, I paid $115 for it and it isn't worth it.  I got it for my brother because he buys 2 bags of ice a week so thought this would fix that.

The ice maker only produced a few ice cubes for a couple of days and then stopped making ice cubes entirely with 4 days of purchase

Do NOT buy this!

Purchased in late February '21.  After running for just a couple of months the condenser fan motor has failed. The unit is also very loud.

Poor quality

Arrived damaged. We set it up on Sunday by Wed we noticed it only made enough ice to cover 1/4 of the of the holder.  by Friday we noticed that one side of the ice tray was making ice.  I had to return it.
