It is a great steamer, but I was wandering if anybody knew if you can set your desired steaming time and not have to use a already program time?????

Great Wedding Gift

Water reservoir is a bit low. Just barely lasts 45 mins. Machine has a 55 min setting. Adding water through the side is painfully slow. It is inconvenient to dump food directly from the solid try to a plate due to the holes around its perimeter and ridges on it's lip.

On the plus, it seems solidly built. I expect it will last a good long time. It is easy to clean. It has a good capacity. The preset times are spaced out enough to suit any need. It was not a bad value for money.

Good Steamer

i"ll try not to ramble... The tiers, not 1 peace but sides with removable bottom plate. If your not careful while moving them the bottom plate will shift and your food falls out.   Each tier is different size on bottom and top so you have to put them on the steamer unit is a certain order. If your food is to big for tier 1 or 2 you still have to use them because base of tier 3 is to big for the steamer. the steam unit is not powerful enough to get much steam to tier 3.  the steam unit needs to be modified to let the water recirculate. the water boils up into the water catch but has no way of returning to get turned back into steam. Steamer runs out of water fast and shuts heater off, because of defect mentioned above, if you add more water during cooking the unit boils the water out and makes a mess.It takes the unit about 5 minutes to start making steam, even if hot water was put into it, all the while the timer is counting down....as if your food was cooking.
I learned my leason... im buying a multi level steamer pot for the stove.   I would return this if i had not already tried to modify it.

not worth the money

This is horrible! I tried cooking chicken and veggies, setting set for chickrn at 35min, followed all the directions kept the produvk on a level surface and put the required amount of water into the basin. Not once but 3 attempts to cook my food and i ended up cooking it on the stove after an 1hr15min of cooking and adding water the food was only half to 1/4 of the way cooked
