[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the flashlight is 1 inch diameter. if you use a 1 inch scope mount it makes a good long pew pew light

This flashlight really performs and just the right size to fit into a pocket although a larger diameter than their mini mag light.  

The pushbutton switch is great also once you get used to it and illumination with the lower power setting is more than enough for most use.

I also like the fact that Maglite attempts to keep their manufacturing right here at home in the US but understanding at the same time that  they  also use some imported parts as required.

great flashlight

I have always had a Maglite flash light since 1991 and have found them the superior choice of lights to have especially in an emergency. I found this light and was enthused by the idea of having the super bright light and the strobe function too!!! I live in Florida and right now it is Hurricane season so I figured it would be a great addition to the survival pack!! When I got it I was extremely surprised at the brightness of the light and how well it works and is designed!! If you ever want a great flashlight and one that can be useful in an emergency this is it hands down!!!

Big light and a small package.

this maglite tactical is awesome works great

My father bought 2 one for me and one for him. I used mine for a month then the problems started. The light would go dim, you could double tap the button to turn it on and it would just cutt off. I put new batteries in it, no change. There are smaller lights that are brighter and can shine farther this is not even close to being worth $100. My friends and I hiked 5 miles and camped, we got stuck in a storm and had to hike back at 3 in the morning wet. My mag lite could not hold up when I needed it most. I had to borrow someones flashlight.
