Ideal for use during summer and other outdoor events.

Can be sturdy, but also prone to flimsiness.

Can be sleek and comfortable, but also feels flimsy to some users.

I needed long reach tongs for picking up things off the floor.  These do that, turn hot dogs when the BBQ flames are up, can pull weeds, etc etc.  All of this for only $1.56?  Sign me up.  Now, they do not do fine work like the classic tongs with the two hinged arms ending in a tennis racket frame type of square.  These tongs still get the job done, but they do not work as finely as the oter type of tongs.

They work as well as tongs 5x the price.

Super easy to clean. The locking feature aids in storage. It makes turning meat and other foods in pans easier as well as. It also aids in shredding meat too. I recommend switching to these as using a fork to turn meat of move it only makes holes the juices escape from instead of being in your mouth.

Great Kitchen Tool

The redesign is very convenient. Last pair I bought years ago had a sliding ring to lock the tongs. This one has a pull out bracket that locks them, and doubles as a hanger. The plastic ring is made of a good material,  and is thick. So glad the price didnt change much.  Considering the extra parts, the extra cents for this version is worth it.

Awesome redesign

Rather beefy steel, not flimsy.  Slide-out closing lock and rubberized hanging ring make for small footprint vertical storage to a stick pin  for quick access.  Smooth operation.  I'm surprised at how nice they are actually.  Nice and long to keep your knuckles and finger tips clear of hot surfaces.

Nicer than you're expecting.

I'm not used to the locking part of it but it's really easy and made well. I still like the metal wrap around you can keep your tongs closed with but this is perfectly fine.

I was a professional chef and saved my tongs from the Parker House Hotel in the 80s. But nothing lasts forever. I went to Target, and they wanted $17. These are not as solid as professional ones, but if they break, I can afford to buy them again.

they are made cheap though won't last but a year so buy up some extra ones for later

I would recommend these tongs if you don't cook a lot, and if you use them every now and then, then this item will work for you. I prefer the tongs that have a fastener for ease of storage. I also like the ones that have an extra coating on the end that makes gripping the food from the bowl or pan easier. These are a nice size and they don't bend like some cheaper models.

Tongs for cooking

I've used tongs all of my life but not until these that I cut myself. The inside where you clean is very sharp. I got a deep cut. The next day, my house guess used to pick up fresh fruit and she cut herself. These are very dangerous. Had I known better, I would have paid more money for better and safer design.

I'm writing this review in response to the SPAM Walmart keeps sending. They pester me for reviews for every purchase despite the fact that I've opted out and asked them to stop many times.
