These work very well to keep my high school kids' lunches hot all morning. I preheat with boiling water and add their heated lunch to it. My elementary son even says it's too hot to eat sometimes. It holds a very large serving of food, and it seals well. It's sometimes difficult to close, but if you seat the lid correctly all of the flaps will lock down easily.

I'm so happy I bought this insulated food container. I packed a pasta for my daughter's lunch and she said it was still steaming hot at lunchtime. It's easy to use, clean, and doesn't leak. The design is sleek and practical. No more cold meals, just warm food ready to enjoy.

It is bigger than I thought! I put water in and shook it, and the water didn't flow out. I thought it was a bit expensive, but I changed my mind as soon as I opened it. It's a good price range, based on the silicone on the lid and the durability of the bottle itself.

worth it!

I have been looking for a bigger insulated lunch box for my high school son for a while. This one is a good fit. Wide opening and can hold enough for a teenager boy. I tested it by pouring hot water in the container. After 4-5 hours, the water was still very hot.

Can keep lunch warm

Brought this for our granddaughters to carry lunch to school. Was looking for something to keep the food warm/ hot. It does the job. It's easy to use and they say the food is still hot. Be sure to go check the handles we had one that was hard to open and close. The store did offer a return and we got another one and it's fine.

Pleased

It is a nice food container, my son says it keeps food warm. i find it hard to close the the lid and it is heavy, that is why i gave just 4 stars. But i love the fact it is stainless steel and not plastic. it's just still pretty new, so hard to say a full good review. so far am good with this purchase

Good, could have been better

I put boiling water in there around 7:20am, waited a few minutes, poured the water out, wiped out the container and then put hot food in there. I had lunch around 11:30 am and the food was room temperature - it wasn't hot and it wasn't cold.  I am going to try this again tomorrow. Maybe my food was not hot enough when I put it in the container to begin with. We will see. If things don't change tomorrow, I don't recommend purchasing this for $33.

Hot lunch

Nope.  Don't. Do. It.  I read a few of the more praise-worthy reviews and thought, okay sure.  We kind of need something like this: a wider thermos would work and I don't mind doing the legwork beforehand like boiling water, etc.  Holy wow.  It just does NOT WORK.  Just stick with your thermos, people.  It isn't worth the sad experience to have food that tastes like it's just sat on the counter all day.  Seriously, the pot was soaking with boiling water for 20 minutes. My noodles and pizza were both barely lukewarm 2 hours later.  Just leave your lunch in a bag.  It might stay warmer.

No. Just…NO.

The directions say to put hot tap water in it for 10 minutes before the food goes in. Fine, I did that. The food was ice cold when my son went to eat it. So, I put boiling water in it the next time for 10 minutes...the food was cold in less than and hour. I will be returning it for a refund.

DON'T BUY!!!
