Had no idea when I ordered this flatware set that it would be so pretty, given the price.  I bought colorful place settings to liven up my kitchen table and everyday dining. The black goes superbly with each color unlike any other color. Even more fabulous is that the set includes all utensils  needed to completely a meal. Dining has been most enjoyable because of my beautiful table setting. Everyone compliments the flatware design and its complete set.  Looking forward to our next meal. Thanks.

The Mainstays Black Flatware Set with Plastic Handle, 48 Piece handles make them easy to grip. A wonderful thing is the flatware come in many differant sizes. I got he red.

Wonderful everyday flatware

I am very happy with this set. After 2 1/2 months, it's still in great shape. I don't understand all the negative comments. Yes, some of the forks are small -- those are dessert forks. There are also regular-seized forks in the set.

Good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love this set because of the small sized forks and spoons included with the regular forks and spoons. They are perfect for parties! In fact, I'm going to use mine at my annual Hallowe'en party, tied with a bit of orange ribbon on each. These are great all year around, though - the black handles are just great for every holiday. These would be adorable for a picnic (red, white, and black theme), and even for Christmas, with either a red, green and black theme or the popular black, turquoise and coral theme that is everywhere for Christmas now. I like the weight of these, and the fact they come in their own cutlery tray. Very cute set!

Nice price. But the spoons and forks are toddler sized. Not with the buy.

Toddler silverware

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set was a gift to a new college grad who just got her own apartment and she loved it! The fact that the flatware comes with a organization tray is great! I highly recommend for any one just moving into a dorm, apartment or house!

Great for someone just starting out

I got this set for the price. we could not afford anything expensive, so we got this. The set is very flimsy and if you shake the silver ware the handle shakes off. it you want to slice a piece of meat or anything use better silverware, this will bend and break at challenge.

Horrible Set

While these are very cute in the listing and a massive bargain, they are quite cheap looking in person. Flimsy metal and plastic.

Cute but cheaply made

While inexpensive, the quality and design of the product is poor. 
Several of the handles are loose from their metal utensil and the handles are not rounded making them harder/uncomfortable to hold 
The spoons are wrongly sized. The teaspoons are kid-sized and the tablespoons are too big to use as a real teaspoon - so, essentially this doesn't have teaspoons.
The Knife quality is poor, making it less than optimal to use in cutting.
Half of the forks are dessert-sized and the other are normal.  So, the set doesn't have the longer forks for thick items, like waffles, steak, etc.  
Maybe this can be used as a kids silverware set.

Poor quality, improperly sized
