This knife is a great deal, it's good for cutting meat and opening food packages in addition to being a bread knife.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only did this knife work great as advertised for bread (worked great when cutting french bread). It also did a good job cutting fruits, vegetables, and cheese as well. I like the sheath so I can keep the knife clean and to protect the knife itself when not in use. I like that the knife is serrated and I have not had to sharpen the knife yet it seems to stay pretty sharp and I appreciate that there has been no rusting at all either. The look of the knife is nice and the sheath is a nice red color. The knife is easy and comfortable to hold.

Great for more than just bread

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good overall knife. It says it is a bread knife, that it is perfect for, nice clean straight cuts in fresh bread. But I have also used it for other items in the kitchen. It maintains its sharpness and the fitted sheath makes it safe yo store anywhere.

Perfect size

Mainstays 5", long handle, then add another about 6"blade, total alot longer than the 5" as stated bread knife is really super sharp. The sheath is a great plus to prevent dulling and or cutting unexpectedly. I purchased 2 and very pleased with my purchase! I needed to decrust loaf bread for tiny sandwiches for the holidays and this is perfect! There's no negatives for this inexpensive bread knife. Thank you Walmart another good item!

Very Sharp, Much Longer Than 5" Bread Knife Sheath

The knife is 13 inches in overall length, the blade, serrated, is 8 inches long. The handle is a sturdy and comfortable design and weight. There is also a sheath included and I appreciate this so much for the safe storage in my kitchen drawer plus it protects the blade sharpness.
This is an excellent choice and must have for anyone's kitchen.
