Let me save you time. To build this with only 1 person, lay the top and sides near each other, then put the screws in so the top and sides stay together. Then add the center pieces on the row, then add the next shelf (C), put it in place then screw it in again. 

Other than learning how to build this the hard way, it's worth the money.

it was incredibly easy to put together. it would feel more sturdy if i connected it to the wall but honestly holds up fine since i dont pull on it. one of the cheaper storage unit options so feel the price is comparable though maybe slightly over priced (isnt everything though?)

Truth is, you get what you pay for. If I wanted something super heavy duty, I would have gone with a Target or Ikea brand. You get what you pay for and it works as it should and is easy to assemble. 

Do NOT skip the instructions on NOT using power tools or you will ruin it!

Very Pleased! Sturdy but even more sturdy when you add the back panel. Its just carboard but somehow it adds more stability. The color is very much like the pic and I was able to put it together myself and I am older and have mobility and arthritis issues. Definitely  worth the price

Good buy

Love Mainstays as a brand — affordable and always stylish, fits my aesthetic perfectly. This cube shelf is no exception. I love that you can customize with different colored bins to personalize it exactly how you want. Great value and looks great in the room.

This nine-cube organizer was very easy to put together, even for someone like me who isn't very good at assembling furniture. The instructions were simple to follow, and I had it set up in no time. One of my favorite features is that you can choose different storage boxes to go with it. That means if my daughter decides she wants to change the color or theme of her room as she gets older, we can simply switch out the boxes instead of replacing the entire organizer. It's sturdy, functional, and a great value for the price. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Easy-to-Assemble and Versatile Cube Organizer

Had to replace my old one due to a move making it less sturdy plus my Frenchie seems it's the best place to lay so he can watch out the window lol. 
We saved the shelves from the old one and nailed them to the back side of the new one. Not because it wasn't sturdy, but because said Frenchie like to pull things out of it. 
I would definitely recommend this shelf unit.

9 cube storage shelf.

We're in an apartment with little storage. I got this to organize linens, toiletry items, and other odds and ends. I used black and tan cubes in seven of the cubbies and it's work well for us. It was pretty easy to assemble and with the cubes it holds a lot of stuff discreetly, and is nice to look at too.

We like this

I love the mainstays organizers. They are so much more cost effective than the other stores and are made just as well. I use these for closets, shoe storage, and recently in my sons' library/game room. These are perfect for someone that isn't going to be hard on them and use them as intended. I wouldn't recommend for someone that has child that will climb and be rough with them. But if they are used as they should be, they should last you a long while.

Use these all over. Very easy to put together!

The assembly on these is so much easier than some of the other brands of cube storage that I've purchased. They're sufficiently study and the finish is standard for this type of cube storage. What surprised me the most is the particle board on the back. Usually the particle board pieces are very hard to put in place with nails on some other brands but with these, there are pre-drilled holes in both the organizer and the particle board squares with perfectly fitting plastic inserts that hold those back pieces in place quite well. And, the best part is that no hammer OR coordination is required. Everything fits together nicely with no struggle, no coercion, and no headache.  They all look great and they're perfectly sturdy - so much so that I have at least 15 of them around my house.

Better than other organizers in same price range

If you can't tell from the picture, it's leaning over. It's rocking it has absolutely no support. The screws are so big and the wood is so thin that they simply it's not wood. I don't leave it why I know why I said would just don't buy it it would be a tremendous mistake and I didn't just buy one. I bought like four now if you wanna put a complete panel on the back well, I don't know you'd probably have to glue it on just don't buy it.
