High cost performance

I noticed what looks like a crack in the round part of the wood, but it is actually the joining of two pieces of wood, but I prefer a single piece of wood without joinings. The spoon is otherwise well made.

DO NOT BUY. Very very poor quality product. After only a few days of purchase, first paint started peeling off. Then one day after cooking a curry, I realized that a chunk (about 4 cm wide) of the tip of the spoon had come off. I couldn't find it anywhere and afterwards, I realized that it was IN the curry.
