Such a pretty upgrade to my regular old silver shower curtain. This Mainstays shower curtain rod looks great and is easy to set up. Just position, then twist, and you’re good to go. 

So far we’ve had no issues with falling or anything and it seems to be good quality and strong.

The tension shower curtain rod is a very handy piece of equipment to have at home. It’s lightweight, and black and sleek, it’s chic and practical. 
Instead of using it in the shower, I put it in my walk in closet for extra hand space. The turn and lock mechanism is easy to use. Once it’s locked, it stays in place. And it has a good amount of space for hanging my clothes.

Handy little equipment

I've been using this tension shower curtain rod for a few weeks now, and overall I'm really happy with it. Installation was super easy — no tools or drilling needed, which was a big plus for me since I didn't want to damage the walls.
The only thing I'd say is you really need to make sure it's securely extended and locked in place, otherwise it can slide down. Once I adjusted it properly, e though, it stayed pr vith no issues.
For the price, it's a great value. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for something simple, affordable, and easy to install.

Easy to install and quality

I love this shower curtain rod, though unfortunately I did measure my shower area incorrectly. I really like the details on either end of the rod, they add a bit of pizazz to the bathroom in an unexpected way. I wanted to photograph this in my shower area with a curtain on it, but unfortunately it doesn’t fit. I think I’ll purchase this in the correct size if available, and pass this on to a friend. Overall I would recommend it!

Sturdy Shower Curtain Rod

So the rod itself looks very elite, the matte black looks rich. It's a very quick way to modernize the bathroom without doing any major changes. I didn't have to use any tools to install it. It was super easy to extend and then push against the wall for mounting. So no wall damages or anything. I'm actually very impressed with the design. Grip is strong, I don't see it falling off or anything so far.  I find it really good when it comes to affordability, looks and the function and would love to get more of these.

This tension shower curtain rod was super easy to install, especially as a single mother Who doesn't know how to put anything together. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick it went up and how strong it is.As I put as much pressure on it , as I could with out it being able to fall. I love the black matte appearance.And as shown in one of the photos, the square end cap is especially appealing to me.It looks neat and tidy.

Great shower rod!

The rod has a nice weight to it. The installation was very easy and held up nice and sturdy once installed. I really like the matte finish, it makes it look very expensive and sleek. It will look very nice if you have matching matte black handles and taps. It will really fit into your aesthetic! It does exactly what it's meant to do! No issues at all.

Modern and sleek design

Love the look of the matte black shower curtain rod. It’s got a modern design to it and makes my bathroom look more elegant with the end details. It’s quick and easy to install and the extension is perfect, its adjustable length is great for getting the right fit without drilling any holes on the wall. 

The only real drawbacks are that the ends chip easily (both end pieces corners chipped, so I filled them in with permanent marker so it’s not unsightly. The other drawback is that if you have a heavier shower curtain, it bends the end pieces downwards a tiny bit so the ends don’t stay flush against the wall.

Modern design adds character to the bathroom!

It’s very practical easy to set up pretty much goes with any bathroom set. It’s perfect for a basic shower curtain. It’s a good size goes very long. It’s a very strong bar once it’s attached. The only problem was the paint is kind of coming off already.

Would use again

I received this product free from Influenster and Mainstays in exchange for my honest feedback. I liked this product, it does its basic capabilities, however when I received the product and took it out the box I found that both ends of the curtain rod were already chipped and damaged during the shipping process despite being heavily bubble wrapped and sealed to prevent damaging, this indicates to me that this product may not have been made with the most durable materials and may not withstand long term use. Another thing was that while instructions may seem clear in terms of installation it was a lot harder to install in my shower than anticipated and required two people to properly install it which if you live alone, is not feasible. Overall once it was up in my shower is does what it needs to do and if the damage that occurred during shipping didn’t happen, it adds a nice touch of modern yet minimalistic design to your bathroom.

Your basic shower curtain rod

I wish I could give this product less than 1 star. First, it came damaged (see chip in corner in photo). I decided I could cover the chip & continued with installation, BIG MISTAKE. While installing the rod it touched the side of my expensive shower wall & left a horrible black scrape that will not come off despite how hard I scrub (see other photo). I also accidentally touched the ceiling which left an even bigger black line that will not come off. I tried to attached a pic but the app said the photo wasn't up to standards. I'm not risking any more damage by installing this rod & sadly will not be using it in my new bathroom.
