Mainstay offers a nice variety of  truly potent to just a hint in their scents. This particular scent filled a large room with the essence of fresh pine that lingered hours after I put the candle out, which is what I  was hoping for. Priced at only $4, you'll be tempted to try every scent they have to offer. These candles burn clean and last a pretty long time, even when you burn them for several consecutive hours. Yankee is overrated and overpriced. Mainstay is here to compete with the top brands in candles.

i do love a good candle. as someone who lights a candle almost every day, I tend to repeat scents I enjoy. this is one of them.

it's a lovely woodsy scent that feels like it works for every season, but especially the end of the year when the pine scent is appreciated most. this really does make a great seasonal candle, the smell is strong but not overpowering and can help make the atmosphere cozy and warm.

It smells good. Not as good as some other, 
More costly brands. But when you're on a budget, it hits the spot. It has three wicks so it burns evenly. I get lots of compliments about how nice my apartment always smells.

Enjoying the forest

I fought Mainstay candles before and I was really wanting to Forest Pine so I was lucky I found this one I do like the woodwick thing but I really didn't want to spend $16 and whatever Plus the tax I'd be close to 20 bucks although I have paid you know high dollar for I think they were 16 when I first started buying them they last long time and I love the crack of and flickering of the woods you know just like it's out on a campfire but it may stay candles are really good and I really wanted some Pine, Glade candles are good too I'm going to get some apple I like Apple and I like the cashmere wood I do like the Hawaiian Breeze and they were pretty reasonable I think it was two candles I'm not too big on the size it might have been 3 oz of something like that for $3 and something and I think this candle I got right here the pine just was $5 that might have been $3 too I don't know but you can look it up I don't hold a lot of stuff to memory this just doesn't seem that important and I'm old and that's the way you get when you're old and stay home everyday you know it's like time means nothing so a lot of things mean nothing take care and enjoy

Mainstay forest pine candle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only buy candles from Walmart because they are just too expensive elsewhere.   This Alpine Forest is one of my favorite candles and I've been buying it for years. I really like the 3 wick candles because they burn nice and evenly, with no tunneling. Perfect winter scent, too! Not too strong. Not too light. It's just right. I really hope it doesn't get discontinued!

While this is still a good buy for under $4 shrinkflation has definitely taken place as the candle is smaller than last year. I still bought a dozen to use over the holidays.

Not as Big as Last Year but Still Good

Sorry to say that things have changed. The scent is fine for one room but seems to fade. I used to be able to smell from multiple rooms when burning but no longer.

Okay for price

Once you light this candle....it burns normally for about 20 minutes, then the wick flame goes right down to...TINY....like the wick isn't burning the wax well.   I've bought various scents, the Pine scent, the Pumpkin Spice scent, they  both burned the same way.  Disappointed.  I suppose you get what you pay for.  I'd pass on these.  Pay the extra money and buy a quality candle.  These are a fail.

Some Maaystays candles smell good and distribute the scent throughout the room. this one fail. The scent of pine is minimal, and it does not smell beyond where it is placed. However, Mainstays' is a great value, so keep trying until you find one you like.
