My husband wanted a heavier and heartier set of dishes for our new home and for the price, these are perfect. I love the big deep bowl for soup and the deeper, heavier coffee cups. I am not a fan of patterned dishes, I would like my food to be the star on the place.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! When I received my Mainstays stoneware dinnerware set I immediately put them to use. I had seen varieties of Mainstays dinnerware sets on frequent shopping trips to Walmart and have always been impressed - but never purchased one. My sister has a stoneware dinnerware set from Mainstays (Walmart's brand) and they are beautiful!

These are perfect for me. I love the blue colored glaze work and the simple design. The weight of the dishes, cups and bowls are not too heavy and not too light. Again, even though the design is a simple design it is beautiful to look at. A dishware set - can you believe that?

The cups / mugs are great for both regular cold beverages and coffee! This set is perfect for both casual eating and having guests over for meals. The look really complements the food on the plate! I'm getting rid of my previous dishes (plain and boring white dinnerware) and replacing them with this new set. The size of the large dinner plates and small salad plates are favorable to my liking (especially for food portion control). The bowls are favorable as well for soups, cereal, etc.

I sound like the baby bear from Goldilocks: "These are just right for me." Hey, what can I say? I'm like a kid on Christmas morning.

I am truly pleased and I cannot stress that enough. This is an excellent quality stoneware and I give my two thumbs up to this brand from Walmart!

Love my new dishware set from Mainstays

The color is beautiful %26 the bowls %26 mugs are a great size %26 depth. We are delighted with them. I plan to buy another set of these so we have enough matching dishes for having company over. These will look perfect with my blue %26 white dishes also.

I love this set. Bought some for my daughter at Christmas. Was impressed with the size, color, etc. I just purchased 2 sets of the blue for myself! The salad/small plates are perfect size for the grandkids. Love, love, love them! And can't neat the price!

The cups and bowls are huge, but works for me. I do like the two sizes of plates having a lunch and dinner size is nice. I would actually prefer the cups to bit a bit smaller as my hot drinks cool too fast with the wide cup. The color blue is very nice.

Love this brand and its products. Just a few flaws with the glazing (drips and thin areas) on some of the cups and a couple plates but nothing too bad. Otherwise a wonderful product!

The color and price are what sold me.. They were inexpensive and came all in one piece, I bought some blue silverware to go with them. Makes for an exciting table setting for me. I like the thick quality of the plates and bowls, the coffee cups are large, which I prefer, and overall for what I paid, these are a steal. But I'm a single guy and I buy what appeals to me, black and blue are some defining colors around my crib. The blue of the set is dark and very shiney, I'm already liking them very much and I haven't used them

I'm going to double the set, good price and quality

The stoneware was beautiful. I'd add another star except there were two pieces that had slight blemishes/imperfections. Nonetheless, I am glad that I bought them. One caveat: the bowls are huge so if you don't have the room, you might want to rethink the purchase. Wish they had come in a setting for 6 because 4 wasn't enough, so had to buy 2 sets. For the money, though, great purchase.

Good purchase

I ordered 3 sets of blue online. Every set had major flaws in the finish. The bottom ring the plates sit on are not finished so they will scratch what they sit on. All of the dinner plates in one were broken. I liked the look but the quality just wasnt good.

poor quality

We bought this set when we moved as we had absolutely no dinnerware. Several of the dishes and bowls arrived broken! Either we returned them and had nothing to eat off of or we kept the broken set. We opted to keep the broken set, come on Walmart! You can do better.
