I really love how easy to fill and stack these trays are. It gives me more room in my freezer.. the material is not high quality but I let the treat sit for about 30 second then remove I've cubes it won't break.

This is exactly what I needed. I planned on freezing each egg  in each divider. The bonus was,a lid that covers the tray of eggs until frozen.. Great answer to preserving eggs at this price issues.

These ice trays are so great! They have a lid first of all, and the lid has a hole so you can fill without even opening the lid. How cool. No more freezer tasting ice cubes. And they are easy to use just like the other trays without the lid. I recommend!

Great idea!

I'm actually really impressed with these. They don't feel as cheap as they are. I mean, yeah they're a little bit flimsy, but I don't know about anyone else. I surely don't like how hard it can be to break apart my eyes because the ice cube tray is so thick lol. And I really like how it comes with a lid. What a great idea. But I cannot seem to figure out what the little trap door at the top is for there's no explanation for it anywhere it's not like you can pop it open and spill some ice out. Is it to fill it up? What am I missing?
Other than that this product, it gets five stars from me

Not too shabby

It's funny because this is one of those things I never would have thought to review, but it ended up making a bigger difference than expected.

I've gone through plenty of basic ice trays over time and never really paid attention to them, but this one immediately stood out just from how much easier it makes the whole process. The removable lid is the biggest upgrade. No more spilling water while trying to carry it to the freezer, which used to happen almost every time. It also keeps the ice from picking up any freezer smells, which I didn't realize was happening before until it wasn't anymore.

The tray itself feels sturdy and not flimsy like some of the cheaper ones. The cubes come out cleanly without having to twist or fight with it, which makes refilling quick instead of annoying. Even something as simple as stacking it neatly in the freezer is easier with the lid on.

It's a small upgrade, but it removes a lot of the little frustrations that come with standard ice trays. Definitely one of those everyday items you don't think about until you get a better version and realize what you were dealing with before.

Ice tray upgrade you didn't know you needed

I love this ice tray. It is a great price. The ice cubes are bigger than a standard ice tray or appear to be deeper and wider. The top keeps freezer odors out. The top or lid is a bit flimsy or thin. I handle mine with care and have owned the tray for a month now and it is holding up just fine. I remove the lid first before I give the tray a twist to loosen the ice for removal.

I have had two break when simply trying to release the ice.  I do not recommend these for several reasons - including the low quality plastic it is made of that snaps/breaks easily.  The lids, while a nice thought, always have ice on it from whatever water hits it from the sink to its spot in the freezer.   Problem with that is, if you have ice left in the tray, putting the lid back on and having it fit properly is challenging at best.  Overall, these are just garbage.  Rubbermaid has some that are twice the price, but they will last for years, making them worth it.

Poor quality - buy Rubbermaid instead

i do not know what the purpose of the lid is, however, i put the lid on the tray after being filled with water.  the tray broke the first time i attempted to twist to pop out ice.  considering i am old with arthritic hands, was certainly amazed at my sudden superpower.  i bought two and they both broke.  the second one i put under the faucet with hot water, no twisting.  still the sides broke, in the garbage they went.  do not waste your money

I bought 2 of these and both were broken in less than 4 weeks. They are a very thin, brittle plastic. The first one I dropped and it shattered like glass. The 2nd one had something bump into it in the freezer and it also shattered leaving little shards of plastic all over my freezer.

I got these because I liked the lid on them, thinking it'd make them easy to stack and even put other items on top. What I didn't realize is that when you take the lid off, you're left with an EXTREMELY SHARP raised edge!! Not only around the top edge of the tray, but also along the underside of the top.

This makes it actually PAINFUL to grip the tray and flex it, in the way you typically would to free ice from the tray. I swear the ice just doesn't want to come out, either, like the plastic itself somehow clings to the ice and makes it harder to remove it.

The little flap on top of the lid is supposedly to pour water through, so you can fill the tray without taking the lid off. But then you have no idea how full you're getting the tray itself. You very likely end up with way more water than needed, so you end up with several ice cubes becoming one big block of ice, making it even harder to break the ice apart into individual cubes!!

I have only had this a couple weeks, and I actively hate it. I intend to make arrangements to return these to the store, because I can't stand to use them, after only using them 3-4 times.
