The pole is 42 inches long, which is just the perfect length. And I feel that it's very good quality and not too heavy when pulling it through the water. NEEDS TO BE STRONGER PLASTIC, THEY ALWAYS BREAK

The cheapest piece of garbage EVER. This skimmer broke the very first day I used it. I read the reviews before I purchased and I knew going into it that they weren't positive. I chalked it up to adults being too rough with it, so I took it easy. It worked great to skim the top, but i reached into the bottom on my pool so scoop something up and the head snapped right off. ANY pool skimmer should be able to withstand that. I wasn't even rough with it, but the water pressure from bringing it back to the surface made it snap.

NO GOOD!!!
