We recently received the Mainstays room-darkening no-drill curtain rod (48–84”), and it has been such a great find. It's super light weight, which made the installation incredibly easy, and no tools or drilling required.

We used it across our new patio door, and it fits perfectly. It feels secure and holds the curtains well while still being easy to adjust to the right width.

Our room isn't fully finished yet, but even at this stage, the curtain rod already makes a noticeable difference. I can tell it's going to pull everything together beautifully once the space is complete. It's definitely a practical and renter-friendly solution that looks great!

Easiest curtain rod to install EVER!

I received this curtain rod free!  However I thought I was getting a room darkening curtain.  It says room darkening curtain rod.  I read it wrong.  I don't have anywhere to put it but I do have a friend who will be trying it out.  Looks sturdy and easy to install.  I appreciate the add! I know my friends will enjoy it!!!

I am so in love with the new look of my room. This curtain rod changed everything in a good way. The best part is the design to wrap around the window and make it blackout curtains. I am so impressed with the easy installation, the extension part and the material. I would definitely recommend this to people

Nice look to my room

I love that this curtain rod was so simple to install. It literally took me 5 minutes, and I didn't need to use a drill. It's a tension rod. There was a a Center piece included if you have heavier curtains, that you need to use a drill for, but I didn't need to use it. Overall I love the concept. Easy to use, and they would be great for apartment living. The down side is, I don't like my window trim showing, so it's not the look I want in my dining room. I will probably choose a different rod, for that reason only.

I installed this rod easily in 5 minutes!

I received this item for free from Influenster for my honest review and opinion.

Trying to set it up was more complicated than the instructions let on because I just couldn't get it to sit on my window area right. I feel like it would work a lot better for anyone who doesn't have their walls painted with matte paint (the surface of the paint causes the tension to slip) and are able to screw in the middle part to give it extra hold (we can't because right above is part of the metal HVAC system). It's not a bad curtain rod, it just didn't suite what we needed. Other than that it is a nice looking curtain rod for the cost. It seemed to hold up pretty well for the time I was able to keep it up (it fell after 30 minutes because the curtains are too heavy which is also why we would need the middle holding piece).

Not too bad

For the most part the set up was really easy. I didn't have to drill anything or use any support. I do find the curtain rod a little weak but it does come with a support for the middle so it doesn't sink. I really liked how simple and easy it was to set up. I added curtains that were too heavy. Overall like the appearance of how it came together.

Easy no drill curtain rod setup

I am a bit désappointed because the product says it can hold without drilling.  As you can see in the photo it does hold … but only because there's no curtain. Otherwise i would need to install the support hook in the center 

Maybe in a smaller Space it would have a better chance of holding without needing to drill.

The idea its good, and it easy to install but not for a big place.

For small space

Not a fan. The pole doesn't lock in place, it will in fact put holes in your frame due to the pins at the end. It's also a very odd length. This will only work for very long windows. If you have the average length windows it's too long. It's half an inch short from fitting my standard windows which are fairly long. The pressure points are 47" apart at it's smallest, so of your frame is ANY shorter than this these will not work. While you may not need to drill, as mentioned you will be putting holes in your frame, unless your frame is metal or plastic, but in this case I also feel like the product may fall off?
It's a good concept but very poor execution and not for average sized windows. The rod is also quite difficult to adjust. It's very sticky and is a pain to unlock/lock.

The worst design in my opinion. It was hard to separate from the start, I had a feeling from the quality of the product that it will not do well. I tried attaching to the ledge of my window to secure with tension and all it did was scrape the paint off my new home. Not rental friendly as it states. I would have appreciated a screw on curtain rod at this point. More stress than not.

Will not recommend for anyone thinking it'll be ea

Unfortunately this broke while installing it. We originally chose it for our sliding doors to our backyard, but it won't work for them because it's a tension rod that is placed on the inside of the trim and the trim is not deep enough on our doors. We decided to install it on our living room window instead, and that's when it broke. It was quite flimsy fully extended. I wouldn't recommend unfortunately, though the idea is nice for people who rent or don't want to drill holes.
