Excellent toilet seat. Solid and easy to install.

Easy to install

Bolt and wing nut are plastic and don't lock in place.

Don't buy

Don't do it - it only took 6 months for 1 plastic hinge to break because the lid is heavy lifting and remaining open for long periods of time. The lid is wood and sturdy and solid to sit on if needed to dress, but it is definitely too heavy for the small, flimsy hinges.  Any waste of money is infuriating, and this definitely qualified., ugh....

No, I don't Recommend this seat.

See my other review here. I had this seat for just over 2 years and it broke at the hinge.  It did not get heavy use because it was in the guest can and not many people visit. 
This is very poor quality.

2 years and it broke

I bought this seat instore last Friday. It is probably the worst I've ever had! Tightened the bolts as tight as I could get them, and as soon as you sit down, the seat slides to the right so far that the spacer underneath ends up off of the toilet altogether! It's completely useless.

Horrible Toilet Seat

We bought this couple of weeks  ago, and we are very unhappy with this product. 
Screws are very cheap quality they broke, we tried to find the same kind in Walmart and home depot but no luck. They are special kind of locking screws.

The way they measure it is 17 in but when you measure on toilet properly it is 16 1/2 inch they measure total length including hinges not from center of bolt hole to edge of toilet

This chipped within one week of it being installed. It has been on now for 6 days.

Poor quality

Do your homework before you purchase. Seat hole from back to front is way to small for a normal size adult at only 9". Normal size is 10" plus on higher priced seats. Fits a big kid at best. Very heavy lid and seat. A 1970's style with no comfort. Ok for an outhouse at best. Not for elongated toilets.
