Setup and operation require minimal instructions.

Failure after several months, in my case, has always been because of scaling build-up of minerals in the internal heating coils. Of course you won't see it but the heated water flow slowly gets less and less and the thermostat trips off before the well empties. Makes you think the thermostat controller has failed. When I use commercial coffee pot descaling chemicals every couple months this product seems to last.

Before I Go to the Valley Below. Oh No I Do Not Know, Fiery Hot or Icy Co-- Either Way I Be Okay With My Single Serve Mainstay.  Iced Coffee in The Heat, Hot Coffee Can't Be Beat. One More Cup of Coffee Before I Go.. No Need to Go for a Cup o Joe.
   PS this thing pay$ for itself after just uses, no-brainer. Actually the tumbler alone is worth it! Screaming deal! This device is 1 of my fav lil helpers. Best part is u can make a much stronger single cup than with the pods, plus youre not filling up landfills- dont leave a fat footprint- dont be a pod person.

One More Cup of Coffee

Arrived on time,I use it for iced coffee it's user friendly and doesn't take long to brew the coffee just add ice and you're good to go. Also great for small spaces and easy to clean.

Best $20 spent

I previously had a Mr Coffee and it was ok. Only lasted a few years though. I purchased a more expensive cold brew maker and it only lasted 2 days. i bought this Mainstays model for like $20 and its the best one I've ever had. Comes out cold or hot and the unit itself is quiet and nowhere near messy. The other two were awful. My only complaint is the color (grey) as thats the only color that was available. But...this pot is the best!

Best Hot or Cold Brew Ever!

If you're an iced coffee lover like me, you need this! Basically no set up at all really once you pull it out of the box. I love that it's a single serve , and includes the tumbler to go with it for when you're on the go.  Simple instructions on how to use, it has two buttons for the iced or hot coffee functions. Love this product!

Easy ready to use

The only con is the filter has a solid bottom and not mesh!!  It does require a little time for liquid to drain from basket, other than that it I love it..

I was excited when I saw this and I thought finally I can break free of the ball and chain I buying over expensive and heavily laden sugar ice coffee drinks.  We need more time together to perfect the perfect ice coffee drink. I love the set up and how easy it to is to  use.  Consider using coffee for the ice cubes instead of water. Love the Tumbler and Lid with straw.M

The design of this is simple, but wasteful. There is a fill line on the cup that corresponds with the max amount of water you can add into the reservoir. The filter basket is very large for the amount of coffee that fits in the small scoop. As a result, the water comes down and pushes the coffee out of the way and flows over the basket floor. It doesn't have a chance to steep the coffee before running through into the cup. The basket should be much smaller, so you can only put the amount of coffee needed in the water has to filter through the coffee itself before pouring out the bottom. I watched it brew and it looked like lightly colored water. It did not look like coffee. And tasted very weak being poured over ice.  Iced coffee should be double strength to account for watering down with the ice.

There's no need for such a big basket sitting on an even larger piece with additional space that serves no purpose. If you add more coffee, most of it wouldn't get wet because of the limited amount of water. 

For the price point and ease of use though it does what it needs to do. I use it every day. I just wish I could taste the coffee.

Basket too big = weak coffee

The coffee maker dispenses water at a irregular rate every time used. The tumbler is VERY POORLY made. When I was washing it before the first use water collected in between the outer and inside liner. It's very poorly made and this with the coffee maker are NOT worth buying.

If you use any other cup than the one provided, like a regular coffee cup, nothing fits in the slot and coffee will go all over your counter. You waste more grounds than a real coffee pot, I assume because the bottom of the filter is all plastic. Overall it's not worth the money at all even if it is cheap.
