Most customers found it straightforward to assemble.

Can be sturdy, but also prone to flimsy construction.

I couldn’t find bookshelves that fit my space, so I bought two of these in different colors and mirrored them side by side. It ended up creating a really nice custom look that feels more high-end than expected. Assembly was straightforward, and the overall quality is solid for the price. I’ll be fully styling them once the rest of my items arrive, but even empty they already look great together.

I bought this because the shelves are 11.7" deep. Most books won't stick out past the shelf end, the other book cases I looked at were 9" deep. It seems most books are more than 9" wide.  It is 26.4" wide so its fairly small but big enough to handle quite a few books, it won't take up a huge amount of space. It has adjustable shelves and it has doors, also a back board, backing, at the back of the book case. Easy to put together and solid. The one problem I had is the back board comes in two pieces that nail to the back of the bookcase and they overlap one another. The bottom board is supposed to overlap the top board so that you don't see the overlap from the front of the bookcase. I didn't have my orientation correct so I overlapped the bottom board with the top board and you can see the overlap from the front of the bookcase. Other than that putting it together is pretty straight forward. Because of the height they provide anchor straps and screws to connect the top of the bookcase to the wall so that it won't tip over forward. I can't put holes in the wall, an apartment, so I used shims under the front of the bookcase so that it leans backward. It's on carpet and about 2 -3 inches from the wall. The idea is that the weight of the books will be more toward the back of the bookcase and it will have less of a tendency to come forward.  It seems to be working really well so far.

I ordered this for my all-in-one room. I had way too much stuff for the room I could arrange. 

Looked on IKEA first, but then decided to look on walmart if they had an option. This was next-day delivery and this way less than what the IKEA one costed. 

I assembled this over the evening. Great Buy!

Sturdier than I thought, Decently Easy to Assemble

Beautiful product with a high-end look! Easy to set up and wonderfully matches in my dining room with Indonesia cherry table! My guests were all surprised when they knew I bought it from Walmart. I highly recommend, excellent product! Thank you!

Allure high-end!

You get what you pay for this is a wonderful shelf. It's particle board, which is okay, i'll get my $70 out of it, and I think everybody else that purchases the shelf would get their money out of it too.

Best written instructions I've ever had. Granted, putting together a bookshelf isn't hard. But I put together a lot of things by myself and these were easily the best written instructions I've ever come across. Sturday and looks great.

Wonderful bookshelf

Bookshelves were easy to assemble and look nice. One issue was that it had to wiped down the pieces due to them being covered in dust.  also the stickers they give you for covering up screws aren't the right color there more of a dark gray than a black.

Looks good but...

The wall anchor doesn't seem strong enough to hold up the shelf if it were to fall, and it's too long so everything on it would fall off it it were to start falling. Along with that, the assembly instructions miss a key part (which way the shelves should face) for the correct way to assemble the bottom, so that the doors can be installed properly.

Needs better anchor and more detailed instructions

It's really shaky. If you don't screw it onto the wall, you better hope it stands still because it is really shaky. I'm kind of disappointed to be honest. I think this is why it's kind of « cheap » pricewise. It does the job at the end of the day but if I had to choose again, I would think twice, haha.

was looking for a bookcase with lower doors for my boyfriends apartment. Was looking at ikea but they charge for shipping and I didn't have access to a car to be able to transport it. This was $50 cheaper than ikea and had free shipping. There are 3 design flaws. 1 is that the backing piece is not one solid piece but is that it's 2 overlapping pieces so from the side it looks kind of wonky as if it wasn't assembled right. Second issue is that the backing piece did not have any pre-drilled holes for the nails. I tried my best to have them go in correctly and straight but some went at and angle which went through the faces of some of the boards leaving permanent damage. The 3rd design flaw are the hinges. They use a pin hinge for the doors but to get them in you need to use brute force push apart the lower and top shelves to be able to get the doors in. If they redesigned this to have a non overlapping backing, pre-drilled holes for the nails, and used a screw on hinge for the doors I would give this bookcase 5/5 stars. But with it's current design I can only give 3.

Has design and build flaws

I have owned and put together several bookshelves for decades, as well as other pieces of furniture. That being said, this is the most rickety bookshelf I have ever had. I am very disappointed in its sturdiness. I bought two of these and just finished putting up the first. I’m hoping for better results with the second bookshelf, but from the looks of this one, I’m leaning pessimistic.
