Can be sturdy, but also prone to inconsistencies.

Some rings have trouble staying securely in place.

May not provide a secure seal, causing leakage.

This is a good size when canning for one or two people. You make less or smaller batches. It keeps the preserves fresher with the smaller size. Once opened you don't need to rush to consume the larger quantities from larger jars.

Half size

I thought they would be a little bigger but they are perfect for making small jars of yogurt. Perfect for breakfast.

Mainstays glass jar 250ml

I have a collection of 250 ml canning jars from both Ball and Bernardin. I purchased Mainstays jars as they were somewhat less cost than the Bernardins. Prior to canning a batch of Christmas gift jellies, i washed a number of both brands. Upon filling them, i was quite surprised to find that the two brands had slightly different lid diameters. Consequently, Mainstay jars were not compatible with Bernardin lids and jar rings and the lids blew off while in the canner kettle. I lost 3 jars of my red pepper jelly - very disappointing.  Walmart needs to check the compatibility of offshore and domestic products.

Been canning for many years and have never had so many lids fail to seal properly. Will not buy again. Jars will be useable with brand name lids.

Disappointing.

I prepared Lady Ashburnham pickles.  When I added the Lady A pickles into the jars, I then tried to screw the lids on.  The lids keep slipping on the threads and do not close properly.  Do NOT buy this product if attempting canning.  I wasted 30 cucumbers worth of product.

Very disappointed with my purchase of these jars. Some of the caps don't fit properly, the lids don't seal no matter what I do. I bought ten cases. I have been purchasing these jars at my local Walmart store with absolutely no issues for over two years but had to order online because there were none at the store. No idea why these are different than the ones I have purchased at my local Walmart.

These jars must have been very old as the seals did not work and I had to redo my canning!

Canning jars - outdated!

Problem with jar rings not securing properly.  When tightened, they slip and actually get loose during the canning process.  Failure rate was 2 out of 8 jars (fruit was lost as a result).  Would be OK for dry storage.

Jar problems during Hot water canning process

These are a different size than traditional mason jars. Regular rings do NOT fit, you must use the ones that come with the jars. I am not sure about the snap lids.
My 2 cases arrived in a huge box with s single sheet of brown paper for protection. It was a mess of broken glass.

Bought these for business use, however several jars were found leaking. This raises concerns about the overall product quality and reliability
