I rarely say that a foundation works perfectly in real life and on camera, but Make Up For Ever HD is exactly that product.
The first thing I noticed is that skin still looks like skin.
The texture is lightweight and seamless — no mask effect — yet it evens out the complexion beautifully and makes the skin look smooth, fresh, and well cared for.
On camera, the result is outstanding:
the face looks clean and balanced,
the skin tone is even,
no texture is emphasized,
no heaviness or flatness.
What really impressed me is that this foundation doesn't “eat” the face on camera.
Instead, it preserves dimension, structure, and natural freshness — which is crucial for photos and video.
After wearing it, the face looks polished, confident, and camera-ready.
For me, this foundation is a true professional staple — reliable, elegant, and incredibly photogenic.

love this one - new to liquids combo skin here and so far this is the only foundation that i can wear that matches me without adding extra products to "make it work" dry's down matte and last pretty good in hot humid weather. I luv their powder vs too might like that one a bit more WISH there was more in the compact.

new to liquids & I Like it

This makeup is just the right consistency for spreading quickly over skin on face. It hides minor flaws but I still have to wear concealer for the blue rings under my eyes. I don't think it's too obvious that I am wearing makeup. This product will definitely improve your appearance.

Make-Up Forever HD Skin has good coverage

This is a great foundation that gives just the right amount of coverage. The shade match is perfect. And, the finish is good. It is not too heavy for hot summers in Texas.

Great foundation

This is one of my top matte foundations and I have already been through 3 or 4 bottles of this over the last 3 years. It works great in the heat, does not melt of my face, and keeps my T-Zone looking good throughout the day. I have 6 different  foundations and this one comes in third place and I hope they never change the formula! I have combination skin dry cheeks and oily T-Zone, but Skin Prep is Key! I do a lot of hydration prep, sunscreen, and then foundation. My first right now is KVD Apple Serum Foundation, 2nd is Estée Lauder,  3rd is Makeupforver HD Skin, 4th is Fenty Foundation, 5th is UD Bond Foundation, and last but not least is Anastasia's New Foundation-It's THICK, I have to add One Size thinner for it but I love the color match and wear.

Beautiful, Amazing Foundation!

I love this foundation ive never had such a correct shade match. It is super versatile from everyday to night out to photoshoot glam. Find out your correct undertone as well! Can be glowy or matte depending on primer and what you set it with. I do suggest a gripping primer matte or glowy whichever you prefer bc it can become slippery if the enviroment is too hot.

I use it EVERYDAY

I used to use a different make up and decided to give this one a try. I live in South Florida so it's hard to find a make up that stays on with all the heat humidity and sweat. Not only did I find this to be very long lasting, but it made my face look and feel very smooth and not dried out. Definitely going to be my new go to.

Best looking skin

Have been using this product for years and love it. My color was discontinued and I chose the wrong color which I returned. I received the replacement I ordered and I love it.

Great Product, Wrong Color this time

As a professional makeup artist, I'm always excited to try new products, especially from brands I love. Unfortunately, this foundation didn't live up to my expectations. The formula is difficult to apply evenly, no matter the technique—whether using a brush, sponge, or even my hands. It simply doesn't blend seamlessly.

Despite setting it with powder and finishing with a setting spray, the foundation doesn't stay in place. It tends to move around, which is especially disappointing given the effort I put into setting it. The consistency is quite watery, and I noticed it seems to separate—the water visibly pools apart from the actual product, making application even trickier.

The finish is far from a flawless, HD look; instead, it's obvious that you're wearing foundation. There's no natural skin-like finish, and it doesn't have that airbrushed effect I look for in a long-wear product.

In addition to this, I found that the foundation enhances pores rather than smoothing them out

I really wanted to love this foundation, especially as I admire the brand overall, but unfortunately, this one didn't work for me. It's a shame, as I had high hopes, but I'd recommend passing on this if you're after a smooth, lasting finish.

Love the brand but not this product

MAKE UP FOR EVER

Not as good a product as previous HD.  Does not apply as easily or smoothly.  The Y245 color was eliminated and you have no true color replacement.  I have been sold two that should replace it nether did that.  One was way too light and the other too much yellow. Apparently no one caught on when the Y245 sold out quickly after the new Skin introduced the new one.
