Size

For Small Spaces

The Marathon range is excellent for fitting into smaller spaces, typically found at a cottage. We are very satisfied with the product. A suggestion for the manufacturer, if possible two large elements on the surface would be better than three smaller and one large. Also, while we read the instructions and were aware that aluminium should not be placed on the oven surface, a guest unaware of this caution did place aluminium foil on the bottom. The suggestion is that the manufacturer should put a small warning just below the dials so that this mishap would not occur.

Very happy with the range.  Replaced an very old white electric range.  Very functional and well built.  No issues whatsoever and expect to last many years.

Simple range

The stove was bought for the cottage, and it has made the stays to be worry free.  It allows to enjoy cooking and baking. Even able to cook a turkey for thanksgiving.

The stove - is like the little engine that could

This stove suits my purposes perfectly  in terms of size and white finish.  It cooks well on both the elements and in the oven. My only complaint is that the volume on the timer is very low.  I find it is difficult to hear when it gives the "end" notification.

Suits my cottage kitchen perfectly.

Four correct pour les tâches de base

Fortunately we bought our new range on sale, as it would not be worth the full MRP.  Initially one stove burner did not work but it was replaced under warranty.  Over time, the oven racks have worn down the coating on the side brackets.  The oven takes a long time to preheat to typical temps (about 20mins to 350F). The readings on the dials (F/B/temps) are hard to read, especially if there is a pot on one of the back burners.  It is easy to clean the oven and stovetop. Otherwise it functions well but I would not buy this model again.

Got what I paid for

This range works relatively well. the oven temperature is off by 50 degrees. It burns what you are cooking. The front of the range is difficult to clean. I had the elements on the range burn out before  the 1 year mark, but they were replaced for free and the delivery was quick.

I do like the stove the oven is a good size for a smaller unit but from day one the clock doesn’t work properly they did come and put in a new one but it still gains a minute a day. As it doesn’t have anything to do with the function of the stove nothing else was done to correct it just disappointed when you spend so much money on a new appliance you hope everything on it functions.

Clock gains time

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have problems with the rubber seal around the oven door. It had come off when it was delivered and installed. Same with the replacement. The third had the seal screwed in by the vendor.  But It was delivered the day we closed up the cottage.
Looks good and we’re anxious to try it when we open the cottage in May.

Oven door seal issue

We have a few issues with the stove.  The clock loses a minute every couple days, the burners are slow to heat up so stovetop cooking takes longer, the warming drawer (which we barely use) broke just after 2 years (the bearings in the track that slides the door open/closed all fell out) We called the store where we purchased it and it was expensive to have it fixed, not covered by warranty.  We did not get it fixed as we did not use it often but as is, using it is not an option.
