I received the item fast and I am using the Marineland one right now and so far it is working great, but I still haven't received my full refund for the Christmas gift cards that I ordered from Walmart and never received as of yet.

Love that it has a temperature gauge on it. Easy to use.

The Good:
- Temperature Dial: it shows you exactly the temperature it will heat the water. It also clicks to help you adjust the temperature to exactly where your fish will be comfortable.
- Built-in visible thermometer and light that shows you when it is actively heating.
- 3-way viewing mounting bracket: this is great if you want to mount your heater to the side of the tank and still want to see the light and thermometer.
- Overall design is very sleek with clean lines; this heater is not an eyesore.

The Bad:
- Problems with water intrusion. I purchased this heater for my 29g community tank in August. In October/November I noticed rust and water condensation on the heating element inside the glass. It stopped working in December. Customer Service was great and sent me a new one free of charge. I think the sealing needs to be improved in order to help it last longer. Don't blame the heater for failing, it could just be the sealant.

I've had this heater for a little over ~7 months now and it worked great. Until recently I noticed my fish getting lethargic. I felt the water and it was extremely cold. The heater has not warmed up even after unplugging, turning up the heat and down and I believe it has failed. It hasn't even been a year with it.

Heater failure.

I bought the 300 watt heater, set it to 72 degrees and two days later my water temp was 100 degrees and all my fish were dead.  This was a recommended heater from Petsmart.  It is tough when you have had a healthy aquarium for 8 years and in two days the entire system is wiped out.  The loss is financial and personal as I envision the fish slowly being killer by this defective devise.

Overheated

I bought this 5 months ago and it worked okay, but it ran very hot. Then I noticed an extreme amount of condensation inside. I returned it because condensation shouldn't happen that soon. It's been less than a day and it's already beginning to have condensation. I am very unhappy with this product.

I bought a 300 W heater on December 24, 2019. It's not even four months old and it stopped working. The water in my fish tank is ice cold but yet the led light stays lit.  What a disappointment.

Worst Heater I ever had!

I bought Marineland® Visi-Therm Submersible Aquarium Heater 300 for a 75 gallon tank not even 3 months later it broke. My Fluval heater I have had for years is the best!

Horrible heater

Had it for a week and a half and it filled with condensation and quit working. My tank,  canister filter and power head are all Marineland and have been very happy, but this Marineland product let me down.

This is the second one purchased within the last year that has failed. Followed the set up as usual and still no heat. Even let it sit in my one smaller tank for 4 days and nothing. Water temperature actually went down. One last resort, take my voltage power meter and test the cord itself. Yep, heater registers no power. Nothing. Dead. 
So that one went back. Likely won't buy another. 
Sorry Marineland, you have to do better.
