This is an exceptional rain shell. Based on a few negative reviews, I had relatively low expectations but I'm actually quite impressed. It's lightweight, comfortable and well made. No frills and great waterproofing. Stoked on the product and the color!

Bought for a good lightweight rain coat. So far so good. Love the pit zips and jacket seems high quality. Im 5'8” stocky build. I got XL and fit is nice. I have room for a sweatshirt or more under and room in the shoulders. I have big thighs/butt and sometimes i have problems with outdoor companies' clothes in this area. XL was right decision even though i would be an L everywhere else in my body. Only thing a lil big going with XL was sleeves a little long 3-4 inches but with velcro no biggie.

Nice jacket

Light weight.  Well made.  Adjustments for wrist and ankle well done.  Zipper opening under arms a great idea.  Light weight and flexible.  I've had similar product from other brands...this seems much better made.  I've not used it yet in weather, but I expect it will be very functional.  Great price for a Gore-Tex garment.

Really nice especially for the price

Love this jacket as part of a multi-layer strategy.  I've used this with base layers and a Marmot pullover when I hike.  I could add a more technical base layer and get to colder temps.  I've used it down to 20 degrees with the pullover and a plain jane long sleeve shirt.  I have not tried it just for rain.  But I could see that the under-arm gusset/zipper would be really helpful on warmer days.  Others have complained about the chest pocket being different...I don't have a previous version...but I like where the pocket sits.

Versatile, handles range of temps w/ other layers

Very please with quality and fit. I am 6 ft, 205 lbs, 33 in waist, 46/46 chest. Usually order XL and then jackets are over sized in the body. Went with large and can still layer a nano puff jacket/vest underneath.
This jacket has been perfect for winter hiking & backcountry/ downhill skiing. Looking forward to wearing in the rain season during hikes.

Men's Minimalist Jacket

I haven't gotten the opportunity to really put this jacket through it's paces due to a drought in my area but I am very impressed with the quality and just how light it is. Due it's lightweight fabric and ventilated underarms it's perfect for throwing on during a humid summer rain storm. I highly recommend this rain jacket!

The Best Rain Jacket

my boyfriend got this jacket as a Christmas gift. He loves it. He is 5'9, 180 pounds. He is stocky with broad shoulders so it's hard for him to find something he can move in and this fit perfectly in a medium. Might be a little tight if he tries to layer it with a fleece under it though.

Christmas gift

This is pretty nice raincoat.  It is well constructed and lightweight, yet substantial enough that it feels like it will not tear easily.  The hood also provides good coverage over your forehead and for keeping rain out of you face.  Overall very nice with only two things I think could be better: the material is noisy when moving around in the jacket, there is some distance between the bottom of the pockets and the bottom of the pocket zippers but it could be more to keep things from inadvertently falling out of the coat pockets.

Overall a very nice Raincoat

Love the Minimalist jacket.  Incredibly light and packs small.  Very good waterproofing...until it's not.  After 5 few years mine lost it's outer water-repellency, I suspect the inner Goretex lining was still waterproof but the shell would waterlog.  I would give it 5 stars except for that.  For what it's worth I replaced the jacket with another minimalist and bought 2 for my sons.  5 years is a good run for a jacket, and it's worth it to me even knowing I may have to replace it in another 5.

Best jacket I've owned

They've changed the features that made this product excellent and the reason I purchased first time. Not only is the breast pocket no longer taped they moved it inexplicably from left to right. Apparently they didn't get the memo 90% of humans are right hand. Then they removed the hood adjustment draw strings along with the  waist adjustment draw strings. Why? Money, I'm sure! I would not have purchased had I known. There's options available with better features from other manufacturers. This was a mistake IMO....considering returning it for refund. Why on earth would you eliminate a good thing?!!
