In my honest opinion, this DVD had exceeded my expectations. The episodes start off with the sentinels routing out the mutants as well as the eventual introduction of Magneto. Following these events Apocalypse makes his debut in "The Cure" and "Come the Apocalypse" which were the best shows of this volume. Without reservation, Apocalypse is the best character of the entire series! He's supposedly Marvel's version of the "Antichrist" whom ranks up there with Unicron, Zod, and the Joker as a supervillain. Anyhow, this series should be brought back as it was and as far as "X-men Evolution" is concerned, it's nothing but a generic version of this incredible continuity. I recommend this product.

A Must Have for X-Men Enthusiasts

It's the classic 90's cartoon. You just can't go wrong if you're an XMen fan.

X Men

I've been waiting for this series to come out on DVD ever since I was a kid. All 1st and a couple of 2nd season episodes are there. It's a shame that there's no special features or any commentary. But, if you love this series, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this DVD to your collection, as well Volume 2.

Finally!

I remember watch these shows on Saturday mornings with my kids. They loved the stories and animation. Now they are all collected on this great set. If you are a fan of the comics, then you'll love this DVD.

Excellant Video

One of the greatest animated Superhero shows of all time.  It acted as the anchor for the 90's Marvel Animated Universe with this show, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Fantastic Four Silver Surfer and the Incredible Hulk

I give the animated series a full 5/5. It's the quality of the animation though that was the 1st thing I noticed when I started watching it. For having kept this for several years & knowing it would be released on DVD they made no effor to clean or digitally remaster any of it.

A lot of people wanted it to be remastered, of course I'd like that too, but I think this dvd was perfectly fine.
