[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Turtles of Grayskull Rattlor is a wonderful new figure that should be a must for both kids and collectors a like! I loved the details of both the figure and the packaging, paying homage to the original masters of the universe toys with a ninja turtles flare. I love the extending neck feature and the mini comic included! Great toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A pink translucent snake skeleton monster is such a strong visual that it makes up for the Ninja Turtles crossover gimmick being impossible to notice outside of the packaging. The armor pieces on the arms can sometimes attach loosely so be careful not to lose them. That it actually rattles is a goofy but endearing touch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone was excited when this came.  My husband had a similar toy as a child.  The debate was to place with it or keep it to display. Ultimately it was open to play with.  Cool toy! Head pops on and off easily to extend the neck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy was ok but was quickly turned into a dinosaur and played with as such. they loved the colors of the character and liked that it had flippers to go swimming with. They did not recognize the character as part of tmnt but are more fans of the movies

bright colors for the win

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Turtles of Greyskull is a fantastic crossover. Who doesn't love MOTU and TMNT on their own? And together? Even better. The purple ooze now in Eternia gives a great reason for all kinds of cool new mutations and takes on these classic figures. First off, like all figures in this line, card artwork is fantastic. Snakes abound in rich and vibrant print. 

The figure itself is sturdy with a great sculpt. The head articulates and the jaws open and close exposing venomous teeth. The color throughout the figure is rich and vibrant and the lines are sharp. This figure is interesting compared to the original MOTU line Rattlor from the 80s in that it has a more proportional body with its legs and doesn't sit (or stand) as squat or stout. Also, I actually prefer the firmer plastic tail on this new take on Rattlor than then original more soft rubber. The tail helps the figure stand better. 

Now when it comes to the head and 'action' of the figure this depends on your tastes. Personally I preferred the original figure with pull out neck. When playing you could quickly extend and retract the head for 'battle scenes'. The new figures do not have retractable necks. Instead, the head, neck, and gauntlets can be popped off and you can mix and match a combination of the heads and extension pieces and pop them back on. This is a really cool feature which allows you to not only mix and match the parts of Rattlor but mix and match them with other figures like Mekneck. You can really get weird and make some wild mashups. 

The downside is there are more parts. There are two heads and two neck extensions. Depending on whose playing with the figure (like small kids) its more parts to lose. It also takes time to swap parts and is not always the easiest for small hands. The parts use a ball and socket attachment system and can be difficult to pop off and on. They may also get loose over time although I didn't pop them off and on enough to really wear the plastic. Also, the arm gauntlets don't really lock tight and stay on the figure. They are difficult to get aligned right and fall off easily. While they look attached in the packaging they are actually tied on. This is a little disappointing and again, more parts to potentially lose. I would have preferred this figure have a larger staff weapon that could be held then the accent gauntlets.

Overall, the figure is attractive and imaginative. If you're into the mix and match of parts and displaying your figures out of box then this figure will go a long way. If you just enjoy the crossover and artwork then this figure also displays great in box. The mutated head is really the focal point and it can be clearly viewed and appreciated in package.
