Power Output

Had a double take on the price for the power of this inverter. Connected the start battery, filled with oil and gas and it started right up first time with the pull cord. Push start worked after the battery was charged. Works as advertised and quiet. Pure sine wave is essential for electronic components. Awesome value!

Incredible Value. Impossible sale price.

Was delivered very quickly and no damages were found after unboxing.
Added oil, some gas, connected the battery and she fired right up.
Actually very quiet compared to my smaller 2300 watt unit.
This unit will run my A/C on my RV trailer so that's why we purchased it. 👍
Excellent price. Very happy so far.

Great unit for an RV

The generator came quickly. Very easy to start and for the cost the noise is acceptable. It does get louder with a larger draw of power. I ran the wattage that it claims. Very light as well. For the price very good generator.

Great for the price

Once filled with oiled and gas, the generattor started with no issues tested it for a day at the camp work great.

5000 watt gen

Satisfied. Delivered on the date announced.

Satisfied.

excellent generator, outstanding value, thank you Walmart

Excellent Generator/inverter

[Employee of walmartcanada] working fine now without any problems

Good

It's okay, you get what you pay for. Purchased this unit because it was the cheapest remote start inverter generator I could find that could supply full 30 amp power for an RV. I have about 35 hours on the unit now. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could, but I think it's probably closer to 3 than 2 so I went with that.

The good:
It seems to generate the advertised power... mostly.
The remote works.

The cons:
* Struggles to idle, spits and sputters and it's died a few times at idle.
* The ad describes verbatim "Quarter-Load Runtime:9.5h 50%" Now obviously it can't be both quarter-load and 50% load, and I can say with authority that it absolutely does not mean 50%. * Running at 15 amps will get me about 4-5 hours on a tank, which is well under 50% load.
* The ad says load runtime is 5.8 hours, assuming it means full load this is an absolute work of fiction.
* Just dies sometimes after a while running, maybe an hour or two. No idea why, seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. In an open ventilated area, ambient temps are reasonable, good gas, good oil... I assume it's overheating or something, but there's no signs other than it just stopping.
* Remote range is iffy. I can have the generator 5 feet behind my RV and it won't start sometimes even with me right near the rear of the RV.
* Can't handle a large load introduced at once like an AC unit, will interrupt the power for a second or two causing things like Wi-Fi, TV's etc to turn off. Doesn't matter if the eco-mode is on or off, it struggles.

Final verdict: If you're purchasing to have in case of emergency, I think it would be a great buy and you're better off saving money buying something cheap like this. If you're actually going to put hours on the unit though, spend a couple hundred more and you'll get a lot more bang for your buck.

It's fine... mostly... maybe not.

this is NOT a quiet generator , if you put a load on it it's quite loud for a campground .

works fine but i find it quite loud

Not what they describe at all. Did not come with remote like it says. And it can not power a camper. It overloads Everytime
