Mayan hammocks have lots of imitators, but there’s only one true traditional Mayan hammock design and this is it. What does that mean? Quality cotton threads more than triple the normal thickness, weaved in the traditional diamond pattern for astoundingly strong support. These hammocks can hold an amazing 850 pounds, so don’t be surprised (or panic!) if your lounging is interrupted by the rest of the family – including the dog! Traditional Mayan hammocks have been made the same way for generations, and today are still manufactured with the same attention to quality, comfort, and durability in the city of Merida and the northern region of the Mexican Yucatan. Our Mayan hammocks are perfect for lounging and sleeping, with 7 foot-long by 6.5 foot-wide beds. Kick back with your favorite book, use your toe to launch and swing yourself into a lulled sleep, or spend the night in what many people compare to floating on a soft, spongy cloud. These handmade beauties come in dazzling color combinations and are made of the highest quality cotton threads, which accounts for their popularity. A Mayan hammock is designed to offer many years of lounging and is constructed using a unique diamond weaving technique that offers both comfort and durability. * Please note: no two Mayan hammocks are necessarily the same as they are individually woven and designed. They are as much art as function, so color combinations may vary from those pictured

Best service ever!

hammockuniverse.com

With a last minute decesision to look for a hammock with just days till our trip to Jamaica. It arrived like promised and was exactly what we were hoping for. Thanks for the great service Cheers for completing our dream to sleep on a hammock right on Negril breach. Check that off the list

PERFECT!

With two adult kids coming back from uni for the summer and another lockdown on the horizon I wanted to add a super comfy/ super RELAXING spot for our family in our backyard. WE have had a hammock in the past and found the cord to be rough and Uncomfortable and the hammock itself would routinely dump us on the ground if we put too much weight on one side or the other. I decided there had to be a better product out there and that is when I came across Hammock Universe We purchased the family size Mayan hammock and could not be happier My hubby and I have been snuggling on it in the early evenings but we know the kids will make their claims once they return- cannotwait to see them lounging in it reading relaxing and enjoying their downtime THANK YOU HAMMOCK UNIVERSE

BEST DECISION!

I always wanted a hammock and because of Covid I thought it was a perfect time to purchase one. I went to several big box stores and came up empty handed. I then did a Google search and found Hammock Universe. The online ordering was seamless and I received tracking notices advising me where my shipment was. I was expecting the order to take at least a week but to my surprise it arrived in just a couple of days. Truly a great product and I would definitely recommend this company

Mayan Hammock

I've used one of the standard Mayan hammocks from Hammock Universe with a universal stand for about fifteen years as an alternative to a desk for most computer work. Outdoors in the summer indoors in the winter. My original was showing its age so I just ordered an XL to replace it. Both are beautiful hammocks highly recommended. I ran into my neighbour in the hallway one day who mentioned admiring my hammock and mentioned this site. A couple weeks later he had a hammock too although I don't think he got to use it because his daughter lived in it all summer. A week after that the neighbour on my other side had one too.

The only drawback if you're trying to get work done is the always present danger of naps....

Get one

The Mayan hammock we got is great. It is however the second one. The first we ordered had a minor manufacturer defect the the good people at Hammock Universe took care of it immediately. We received our replacement one day later.

Excellent customer service. Great products. Keep up the good work

Great experience

I am in love with this Hammock. I bought it as a gift but will also get to use it and it's amazing. I was also very impressed with the level of professional and friendly customer service. My package got lost in the mail and the people of Hammock Universe looked Into it and took care of everything. They were amazing to deal with. And the product is fantastic. I will recommend and shop here again

Great experience.

So the hammock arrived a few days after the order and the packaging was durable and nicely packed for a heavy package. When I removed the contents everything was packed well and seemed to be handled with care.

The 3 beam stand was a piece of cake to put together a child could do it. I thought the stand could be a little more stable feeling instead of wiggly but it is very durable once was weight on it. One of the customer service people said I needed the hammock chain hanging kit for the 3 beam stand but I found that it was touching the ground so I didn't really need it. On the plus side I have the kit for if I want to assemble it in a tree in the future.

The Mayan XL hammock I bought was so relaxing I didn't want to get up. There was an issue with some of the knots being loose on the stringy part of the hammock but were re-tightened . The hammock sock is amazing durable and protects from the elements and bugs It is honestly a smart idea for hammocks.

I found the customer service to be a selling point. A little cart martian will make sure there weren't any hard feelings when I closed out of the order by mistake. This made me smile. I spoke to a customer service person when deciding my order and they helped me out so well. The replies were fast and they answered everything great. They even told me certain items I was going to buy were not compatible with the current hammock I was buying and that really helped. If you have any questions that are bugging you I encourage you to contact the customer service. When finishing the order you get an amazing order email that will make you day. ;

The hammock experience no the Hammock Universe experience has been great. I was in a car accident a few years ago and it has been really hard to get relaxed and to be comfy from being stiff and sore. I find it super relaxing and I am very comfortable in the one I bought. Hammock Universe is a great online experience for buying anything hammock. I will buy from here again...

Hammock Universe was an overall great experince!

the colors are so refreshing and bright and its nice and soft to the touch I have not be able to use it yet but i can'nt wait for summer just to kick back and chill in my Hammock . super fast delivery and great staff to deal with ....You will not be disappointed from buying Hammock Universe as i have made several purchases and still a HAPPY customer....

the colors are so refreshing

Bought my original hammock and stand and it was delivered in 3 days. Set up is literally less than 5 mins once you learn to set it up for the first time. My original hammock was a victim of flood damage so I bought this mesh one. I wouldn't buy another mesh if the same as this. Really stretchy and doesn't have the metal inserts in the ends. Overall the company has been great to deal with. My nega
