Thanks to aging, I cannot wear black mascara anymore as it is just harsh and makes me look “hard”. Brown is safe, but blah. I started wearing Maybelline Royal Blue. Fantastic. Then I found this purple. Absolutely gorgeous! I have grey-green eyes and they just woke right up with this color. The purple isn't super obvious, but that's why I like it. You notice it in certain light and it's dignified— it doesn't look garish at all. It really lengthened and thickened my lashes too. I now consider this a staple in my very basic makeup kit. I am going to try the Black Cherry to experiment because the price is right and you never know until you try!

I love this mascara! It actually lengthens my lashes so that they look like the enhanced-with-falsies pictures in the magazine! Every lengthening mascara makes extravagant claims, and my eyelashes always look about the same, so I wasn't expecting much. I just needed some mascara, and I liked the idea of being able to rinse it off with water. But this stuff lives up to the hype! If only they don't discontinue it, I've found my go-to mascara.

This really is an unsung hero in the mascara world. Lately I've been noticing that a LOT of Maybelline mascaras have 'washable' in the name. What does that mean?? I did some digging and I feel like maybe some of these act like tubing mascaras. Some of the reviews have people complaining because it's SO difficult to remove. Well, if you don't know how to remove a tubing mascara, it can be quite a b!tch. I bought it to use as a mascara topper to others that I love but occasionally leave small dots beneath my brows (because I have deep-set eyes). But I've used this on its own and you can get very respectable volume and length. It lasts all day long with no smudging and no dots beneath my brows. I have extras because it's really a great mascara!!

black cherry is it  less than .5 oz, it is kind of a spindly brush, can build thicker and longer, flakes just very 
 slightly, the price  is ok/good for the product,  lash paradise still my favorite, but is twice the price, so. idk, would recommend if price is  your biggest issue.

Have used this before.  A really clean mascara that does not clump or flake.
It is buildable and lasts fairly well.  The pitch black is the darkest shade of black ive ever seen,!  Removes easily. 
Non irritating as well.  Kind of a dupe for Lancome Lash Idole.  Maybelline does it right when it comes to drugstore mascara!

A very clean wearable mascara

I love the blue color! I knew it wasn't waterproof, so I wasn't expecting much. If you use a primer first, %26 put powder on, it'll help with smudging. But if it gets really hot, it'll smudge.

Pretty color

The mascara was almost totally dried out.  What came out were clumps that just fell off the wand.

This just flakes off everywhere within minutes of putting it on. Total waste of money. I would return them if I could!  Also, there's no cherry color, it's black!

Don't Buy!

packaging was a little messed up but it was shipped so that's whatever, but the actual mascara tube had like weird like marks on it and scratches, doesn't look like a new product but it didn't look like it was repackaged, not really sure. The mascara itself was a bit dry and also the color does not show up at all. If you have naturally lighter eyelashes it could work for you but for people with naturally dark eyelashes, you cannot see the color even after multiple layers, just looks black, not burgundy or purple at all.
