Can be easy to wash off, but may require extra effort.

Has a soft brush head with many bristles.

A little bit chunky at first but then smoothes over. Makes eyelashes look amazing. Separates my eyelashes that usually stick together. Great for the summer vibes.

Amazing

walmart.com

I've repurchased this item well over 10 times for good reason. The price point can't be beat, it doesn't smudge, it goes on smooth (like NO clumps) and comes in dark brown which is my go to for being a blonde with lighter complexion. The applicator wand is nicely spaced out for individual lash application and it can get all the tiny lashes as well.

Worth it - reliable application and wear

I LOVE this mascara!!! I got the classic black, washable (*not* the waterproof - I don't like waterproof mascara).
Not clumpy, has a nice big fluffy brush, lashes looks perfect with just a couple swipes, gives incredible volume with just one coat, but you could add more if you want it to be over the top. And somehow (magically) doesn't give you raccoon eyes in the morning, it just comes off on it's own over night without a trace if you forget to remove it. 🤯 Amazing!! That seriously might be the best part. It checks all the boxes for me so definitely my new go-to! ❤️

Favorite of all time!!! 😍

This is always going to be the best mascara. It's the brush. It is perfect, doesn't leave clumps, and it separates my lashes. I try other brands when there is a big hype but I always end up right back with my yellow tube. It just works.

This is my all-time favorite mascara! I've used it for years and continue to buy it. It applies smoothly, enhances my lashes beautifully, and lasts throughout the day. It's a reliable favorite that I'll keep repurchasing!

My all-time favorite mascara

I opened the package, excited to use my new mascara and I was barely able to remove the applicator from the bottle. The wand was bent into a circle and totally unusable. It was a huge disappointment and a total waste of money!!

DO NOT BUY!!!!

I have used many Maybelline products and have loved them . I bought this Colossal mascara and it is awful. It stays wet for too long after applying so it gets everywhere. After it dries if you try to apply another coat it flakes badly. I am so disappointed and if I had the receipt I would ask for a refund .

A total disappointment

maybelline.ca

I'm honestly so annoyed with this purchase. I opened the mascara expecting to use it, and there was NO wand or brush inside the tube at all! How does a mascara even get packaged and sold like this? I paid for a product I literally cannot use. Such a waste of money and really disappointing. I definitely won't be buying this one again.

Maybelline

This is the 2nd time I've purchased this mascara. When I removed the wand from the tube, I saw that the wand was bent. (See photo.) Has anyone else had this issue?

defective wand?

The brush is bulky and hard to shape your eyelashes and once applied it's clumpy.. And what's with the rose smell? I don't like it cause it affects my asthma..

Clumpy

Maybelline New York Volum' Express® The Colossal®, Washable Mascara, 9.2 ML in a yellow tube with purple text and a contoured cap, featuring a collagen formula and Mega Brush that instantly plumps lashes for 9X volume without clumps, suitable for contact lens wearers and ophthalmologist tested.
