My gift recipient likes this style glove and was very happy except that there was no Velcro band at the wrist of this particular Mechanix Wear glove, which was the reason for only 4 stars despite his happiness with them.

Great but no wrist band

These gloves are good. I like the m-pacts a little better. These are good for low to moderate protection.

Bought a pair to use as general-purpose wear, especially during Covid.  Not once did I use them for anything that would severely damage them, but to my surprise, they started to fall apart within the month.

First, the material started to flake, then holes appeared at the fingertips. 
I don't know if I got a bad batch but I'm not inclined to waste more money to find out. 

So if you're looking to buy a pair, be careful. If these gloves couldn't last a month being used to open doors and grip bus railings, imagine using them for welding, roofing, etc...
